Yeah it's hard to defend half-baked ideas, isn't it?

If you want us to follow Golden State's strategy of playing small ball, that means you start a stopgap C like Birch and move one of your starters (Iguodala) to the bench. Which one of OG/Siakam/Barnes do you think moves to the bench?

So you're first post that said "And Draymond Green is not a C", that started this exchange is bull **** then. Draymond is a C. Now in the third post. Gotcha.

Move the posts wherever you want after this.

I literally just stated that we need a stopgap C as a starter. Are you having trouble following along?

Right... after starting this whole mess by saying "And Draymond Green is not a C", you then follow up with the word stop gap. I'm not having trouble. Just don't argue by making bad posts?

Yes because more than half their lineup isn't on their team. That could be a reason why.

They didn't start the Death lineup even when they were healthy...

Who cares. They finished with them.

Who cares if they finish with that lineup? Teams finish with small lineups all the time, it's not something new. That's no excuse to not have a C.

Oh I'm sorry do you not know what a stopgap starter is? My bad for assuming you understood basic basketball lingo.

You see, Golden State doesn't want Draymond boxing out 7-footers full-time (so he doesn't get injured), so they play a C like Kevon Looney next to him to fill in some minutes before they pull out their death lineup. That's what stopgap refers to, Looney fills in (or stops) the gap in minutes the Warriors have at C.

Similarly, we don't want Pascal, OG, or Barnes boxing out against Cs full-time -- that's why usually start Birch or Achiuwa, even though we could probably start a better offensive player in their place. I hope that makes some sense to you, let me know if you need me to explain any other basketball-related words to you.

I like Birch a lot, but he's undersized too. Not a long-term solution.

Cleveland is not trading Allen unless a very good deal comes up. This isn't a very good deal.

Given that Cavs have MObley and he will be groomed to be their future 5. Adding Pascal at the 4 is a great fit for Cleveland. Nurse likes having bigs that can shoot the 3. Who better than a rejuvanated KLove. I get the contract situation sucks, but I think a couple of draft picks could resolve that issue:

Pascal
Dragic
Birch

for

Allen
Love
future 1st round pick (lotto protected), and future 2nd.

People might be why take on the salary, well our cap situation going into next season will still be over the cap. So carry KLove for one more year doesn't really have a huge opportunity cost for us. The 2023/2024 season is more meaningful. At that time you have KLove, Fred and Trent all expiring, unless Fred and Trent exercise player options, which i think is a low probability.

Our starting 5 right away will be:

Fred - Flynn - Banton
Trent - Svia
OG - Champagnie
Barnes - Love - Watanabe
Allen - Achiuwa - Boucher

Cavs will no do this trade.
