Rest FVV, there's no need for him to play against these Spurs.

With the way Koloko balling, are done with the idea of giving up assets for Poeltl or nah?

I think it only helps the idea of it.

Not saying it's right or wrong.

Poeltl... we need a center that can space the floor, him clogging the lane and hindering scottie/pascal is not the play

That's a good point. I think Poeltl would be good here, but considering he'll be a free agent, it doesn't really make sense as a long term move. He'd be a great fit as a guy who starts some games, and only plays 20 minutes in others.

There really aren't many floor-spacing C's who can defend the rim. The only guys that are kind of in our wheelhouse would be: Turner, Lopez, Horford, Porzingis, and I guess JV. The only one who is on the trade market is Turner, and he's always hurt. I suppose we could give Turner the old load management routine and hope for the best...

Koloko.

I don't feel comfortable paying a center 20 mill a year to pay 20 minutes.

If Johnson is out they can't replace his scoring. Agreed. Guys like Sochan are happy to take more shots. Trey Jones is a really good scorer and he's a rare past-first point guard. He might call his own number a few extra times tonight.

They might start Zack Collins for Johnson. He's looking pretty decent out there. Sochan can slide to the 3.
The good thing about BI is he can shoot over defenders.
The bad thing about BI is he can shoot over defenders.

4:30 injury report.
KJ is out, Vassell is out, Roby is out,
Otto is probable and Freddy is questionable.

I don’t like the amount of supposed non-Covid illnesses around the league right now. It is almost certainly partly’don’t test, don’t tell’ type policy. Hope it doesn’t spread to the Raps.
When will we just change the name of 25 of the 30 teams to the Washington Generals?

Please advise….

Also, not sure how much you can trust Poeltl in closing lineups given his poor FT shooting. I still think he'd be a positive addition (obviously), but I wouldn't give up much for him because of his limitations.

Primo would be a nice fit coming off the bench for the Raps after he gets his head right.

I'm sold on the moves he shows in that video. One of those guys who scores fluidly and easily, which we don't have.

absolutely need to see more of the longer starting lineup with rim protection and Scottie as a more primary ball handler, as a possible look at a way moving forward. Would actually be nice to see it against some better teams than the Hawks and the Spurs though, where it's hard to tell if we were that effective or if our opponent was just mediocre.

It really would be good to rest Fred at least one more game, not rush him, so we get another look at starting 4 bigs with Gary, including Scottie at the point.
