Yes. Much more consequential and harder to achieve than being the best team in November on Tuesdays and Fridays. (Still silly to hang it but…)

First time ever on the general board I’m seeing comments about how divisional titles and conference titles and series wins are important. Before that it was all about “Rannnnngzzz,” “4-6,” etc.

For reference, that Kings team beat the Kobe/Shaq/Phil/refs Lakers over the course of 82 games. To compare it to beating Haliburton once on an ugly court is not a serious take IMO.

Part of what’s so amazing is fans talking about how great the games were. Yeah, duh. The NBA picked good games for the tournament. This isn’t that impressive a trick if you spend two seconds to think about it.

I’m not sure why a fan of the NBA like you seem to be would get mad at the NBA being successful in creating some that is successful. Now, I also realize you like to denigrate anything related to basketball that happened after 1986 or the 1990s, it seems really odd to me too lamb, a product that you spend time talking about on a messageboard

Don’t mistake poking at Lakers stans as angry. That is done for fun. Normally, that’d be sufficient but a few more posts to push back on IST stans, who have lost their minds about its importance, is worth a couple moments too.

Funny thing is those posters who keep saying they don't care about this tournament are the most active posters in almost every single thread related to the IST to tell everyone that this tournament doesn't have any significance and to remind us over and over again that they don't care about IST.

The point you were both making was it would be a forever losing franchise to hang up a banner, so it’s ironic that the 2nd most winning city in league history does it too.
