I was just thinking, *that we know of*, so far we'd only worked out one projected lotto player, Salaun. And now this...

Neither a PG, mind...

Says right in the post that its not coming from the Spurs but "French" sources.

Like I said earlier, its a bold move and we usually dont do bold moves. I would be on board if they think he's the guy though.

Im guessing this is coming from Atlanta who is trying to get Portland to offer more for their pick or from the Risacher camp.

I read this as rival FOs want us to draft a dud so a better player falls to their teams lol

There's a lot of rumours swirling and the spin will only increase closer to the draft.

Part of it is just entertaining hypotheticals and part of it getting the temperature of certain rumours that seem to be gaining steam. Sorry for the mixed metaphors lol

So with the draft just over a week away, we've worked out... three lotto players *that we know of*

This with two lotto picks.

None are PGs.

Two are French, one is an older, more ready prospect, all project as two-way players.

Huh...

Givony intel about who we've worked out and will work out in the latest ESPN mock draft which has us taking Castle at 4 and Dillingham at 8:

If two top targets -- Risacher (who will work out with San Antonio on Friday) and Sheppard (worked out last week)

He worked out in San Antonio against Devin Carter last week.

but he's an option for guard-needy San Antonio, particularly if the Spurs are unable to draft his college teammate Reed Sheppard at No 4.

Dillingham will work out for the Spurs on Wednesday,

https://www.espn.com/nba/insider/story/_/page/NBADraft24-40343667/2024-nba-mock-draft-all-58-picks-trade-talks-heat-30-teams

So this article asserts our top two targets are Risacher and Sheppard, with an outside shot for Williams. Then the other guards listed.

At least we now know of more players we're looking at. Makes more sense that we have brought / will bring this list of players in.

Williams will end up working out for nearly every team in the top 10 (with the exception of Houston)
