I considered a guy a little bit cheaper than O'Neale that would've left enough FGA to fit RoCo in. Glad I didn't do it with LR taking him.

There is at least one more guy I thought would be a second rounder and still on board

If it's the guy I'm thinking of, second round would be a bit rosy, but I did figure he'd be gone by now as well.

Off topic, but I just wanna say that the Luka trade is hands down the most surprising trade I've seen since I started following the NBA. Possibly even in NBA history. The Mavs are complete and total idiots.

Actually there are two or three guys worth of a second round pick, but one in particular I actually considered using in my second pick

Yes there are two that remain that stand out above all others (IMO), with another two that closely follow. I think a lot of doubts maybe about fits from older players in some sense, but with one of these players, that wouldn't really be a concern.

I was talking about one 80s guys, but two 2010s-2020s guys. Actually there's another notable prominent 70s guy.

I count two in the 70s, but one of the guys is someone who I have literally never seen picked.

no surprise the boards were down for a significant amount of today. I would be in favor of applying some grace to the time periods for those caught in the middle

Ah good catch - Arvydas
Comments to rationalize bad contracts -
1) It's less than the MLE
2) He can be traded later
3) It's only __% of the cap
4) The cap is going up
5) It's only __ years
6) He's a good mentor/locker room guy
