I couldn't believe when people were saying he was a waste of a pick. Just give young players time to find their footing. You can tell this one knows how to play. I think he needs to bulk up a little and be more aware on defense, but he's looking pretty good for a 30th pick. And there's no need to rush his development.

Rico is impressive because he isn’t getting killed on D. Everyone will get beat now and then but he’s been smart with his limitations athletically. He just seems to know where to be.

Joe really believes in him because I’m telling you, had that been anyone else missing shots in a game, of the younger guys/rookies they would not have seen the next game. Joe keeps playing him, that just goes to show. He’s doing more than just shooting well.

Smart can get you a long way, sure you have to make your baskets when you get them, but don’t underestimate just doing your job. Korny can’t move the best either, but he’s smart as hell! A few years seasons I took him for granted, now look. Come on Ricoooooooo! We need a really good pick from the back end!!!

Edit: I know Hauser is out, but there have been plenty of people out ahead of Walsh and Joe hasn’t played him much at all the last couple months! Yes, part of it is because there is no Hauser, but it is also how Rico is playing.

Scheierman tossed quite a few eye-popping passes in Maine. He can shoot and rebound. He's a really interesting prospect now that his D has begun to develop.

His defense and lack of speed was concerning when I watched Maine games. They definitely worked on that with him. He’s definitely an athlete. He’ll be fine.

first half we played 8 guys?
On the second night of a back to back?
And with Jaylen looking rusty as heck or still sore
Like, why, no Walsh, Queta, Pterson, Torrey Craig?

I dont get it.

He just needed to gain his confidence, among other things.
G League was a good place to get up to speed.

I forgot he was even playing. His minutes were pretty bad. If he's still injured then there's no need to play him. And if he isn't, then, well, ****.

Jaylen was looking like a bucket of rust.
Why was he even out there? We can get by without him.

Yep, our playoff seeding is basically set. And if Joe is trying for the starting five to find their groove together, an injured JB isn't going to help the cause.

Thing with Baylor is he has as many assists the last 7 games as Hauser in like 20 in far fewer minutes. Hauser has zero play making ability. Looks like he can solidly replace what he does with more reps

They're two very different players. There's room for both if we weren't restricted by apron/tax issues.
