Re: PG: First road loss in this playoff
Thibs sucks but have to also question this roster. Their overall talent level and fit together etc.
OG going 1/12 or whatever he was. Just embarrassing. Game 2 he had 5 points, game 3 he had 2 points and tonight he had 6 points.
Kat is a cone on defense and very limited offensively if he's not being setup with catch and shoot 3s which is something this team/scheme simply does not do - and tonight seemingly the gameplan was not to post him at all.
I think I'm going to have to accept the distinct possibility that the Knicks blow this and lose the series. That way if they don't, great. But if they do it won't be as devastating.
Going into this series I had low expectations. We struggled against a mid Pistons team that honestly didn't even play well. I was hopeful the knicks could be competitive and maybe push it to 6 but at least avoid getting blown out every game. This series has been extremely weird with the Knicks comebacks and then they FINALLY play a great game in game 4 - the only game I would consider a great performance all around this entire postseason... and they follow it up with this complete dud. I just don't know how to have faith in this team but I will hope for the best but expect the worst. Losing after going up 3-1 will be far more devastating that if they had just lost in 5-6 (or got swept) as originally expected. Especially with a beatable Pacers team waiting in the ECF.

This team sucks at closing out series man. What a pathetic showing. We better beat their a$$es at MSG. This goes to 7 and I got no faith we gonna pull it out.

I’ll continue to be on the Fire Thibs train.
Can’t keep starting Hart and letting defenses cheat off of him for damn near 40 min a game. It’s making the game harder for everyone for no reason.

this is what we get for wearing whites in an away closeout game. i hate the convoluted new jersey scheduling. just have homes, aways, and special edition nights
and make coaches wear suits again

The knicks were just kind enough to give boston a free win as sympathy for Tatum’s injury. We are taking care of business on Friday. Knickstape!

That was all planned too it was right out of halftime with nothing provoking it. Get us riled up and then 100 phantom fouls come

Explain OG's 1-11 and KAT's stupid plays while you're at it.

No explanation needed. OG, KAT, and Bridges were awful tonight as well as our coach

We need a system that maximizes KAT's scoring ability or trade him.

Brunson was horrid too

Re: PG: First road loss in this playoff
This team doesnt come mentally prepared it seems when things are going good. They gotta get their face smashed in and embarrassed for them to respond the next game. They don't know how to stomp on someone's throat when they are out of breath. Too damn soft.

Re: PG: First road loss in this playoff
Guys dont fall for it. the refs systematically took us out of the game. You mean to tell me Brunson fouls out on a knee to the balls
Copper flag just happens to go to Dallas! FOH! I'm going to work on that game thread in the AM because we are winning on FRIDAY!

he's only out there to give Jalen a breather and not put us in a hole
Otherwise, our secondary playmakers are Josh, Deuce, and Mikal
We get his role. 1-7, 0-6, 0-2 on offense out there is pathetic. If his sole role is to give JB a breather, Thibs is -- as we know it -- an absolute moron. Put Wright or Tyler or Shamet out there for the pathetic 5 minutes he's out there because that's all Payne is averaging for the series.
Delon Wright should be the guy. He is the best defender among them.

This is how I feel, although I don't care that much already ... benefit of being old
You know I don't think there's any core here, which is what you're getting at. Seeing is believing ... KAT just seems like he's got too many holes
You don't go from really questionable sht like we're seeing to suddenly championship form
I hate being the bearer of bad news ... Brunson has done some crazy stuff and I get that, and there are times the team looks really good
But the lows are too low to believe there isn't a set of fundamental and insurmountable problems ... I don't think they just go away
I agree, Pistons didn't even play well and we were lucky to win that series too

Pretty clear to me strick. Momentum in competition is key. And that's the brilliance of the whistle.

Then why is he forcing and stuff? That's extra dumb. Just shoot. I'll be honest, he plays like an old man or a guy short on talent.
I don't like him. He is taking too many shots too. I don't see the great defense either. Slow, weak and kind of low on skill.
I'm out on him. And KAT to be fair. It's 3-2 but I'm calling time of death lol. NOT to prepare myself. Really because the team seems totally crap.
