He's a pretty good defender too. I didn't believe in him coming out of college but I think he's a solid rotation player.

He can shoot off movement and has a fast high release. He's the closest thing we're likely to find to the 6-8 AJ Green I've thrown around as an ideal rotation add.

It's funny talking about Hauser and Green, since the younger Hauser was an AAU teammate of Green and their families are close. But Sam can't play defense like AJ and can't handle the ball like AJ.

AJ has not shown any ballhandling, but he was really good in college and the Bucks haven't played him enough to give him the leeway to show what else he can do.

gonna save you the trouble... he cannot handle the ball at an NBA level. as for individual level defense, Celtics fans are as adamant about Hauser's D as Bucks fans are about AJ. Seems like a horse a piece and probably going to give the edge to the taller guy.

Yeah I think Hauser got the similar white guy treatment AJ gets and would constantly get targeted but held up surprisingly well according to Boston fans

Imagine running AJG and Hauser both out there, teams think it’s White Meat BBQ chicken for dinner every game but getting shut down.
I’d be down with a starting lineup of KPJ/AJG/Hauser/Giannis/Bobby

Is Atlanta keeping Zingus Pingus? He would be a good fit despite the injury concerns.

They traded a first for him, I'd assume they wanted him.

Yeah, i would assume that's the plan. Everyone thinks they are next year's Indiana Pacers. This actually kind of feels like the nfl with so many teams dreaming a little dream.

at least in the East, to some extent it feels true. although, Cleveland could finally play up to their potential in the playoffs and just make it uneventful.

The Horst hate on here is wild to me.

He's won a title and kept Giannis in MIlwaukee long term. What else was he supposed to do?

Everyone on here clamors GMs to make big trades and bring in guys to help their stars. Horst has done exactly that repeatedly and now everyone's mad at him because we don't have any picks left? Huh?

I get what you are saying. He went all in for Jrue, all in for Dame (and got him for cheaper than anyone thought too). I wouldn’t have done some of the move he did, but I think he is an average GM that works with his coaches to find guys they want. That might be his fatal mistake.

The narrative might be completely different if the league didn't screw us on Bogdonovic too. That 2020 team would have been stacked and we would have been much more prepared for injury.

I dont think Horst is bad, but he isn't great by any measure. He hasn't really shown a lot of creativity and has lived off making moves to keep a once in a generation player happy. Everything he has done has been "throw assets at the problem and figure it out later" and may have ultimately been a pretty ok move but we were so incredibly close to being screwed either with KDs toe or if Giannis would have torn his ACL against the Hawks. The Jrue trade would've been disastrous in either scenario. He held onto both Jrue and Khris too long and never was able to add extra talent (mostly due to trading all the picks and putting us in cap hell). He basically took the easy way out but got a ring out of it. Nothing points to basketball exec greatness but we are at least not POR or NO

Horst pulled the right strings to win a title, but he also failed to put the team in a position to win more than one with poor drafting, overpaying for vet role players, etc. Yes, injuries played a role in that, but he continued to mortgage the future in an attempt to win now with an old roster that was getting older. Basically, he should have pulled the plug way earlier.

I think he’s an average GM who has pulled off a few really savvy deals.

Giannis said just enough to get most people to shut up about his trade market but left it open ended enough to where the Bucks probably feel compelled to do something strong to appease him.

I do think we make splashy move but the question is with what salary? Kuzma and Pat are the obvious choices but Kuzma probably requires assets to move which really kills what you can afford. And you cant aggregate contracts in a sign and trade so that crosses that off.

The worst move Horst made by far is Dame. It’s not even close and I don’t blame him for doing it but it’s been a pretty much worse case scenario at this point

Can't wait to next week so things get rolling.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Return to Milwaukee Bucks
