You were hoping that we traded for Dixon??? Why?[/quote]

On a scale of 1-10

Jameer is a 6

Dixon is a 5

Arroyo is a 0

Hey MagicNoles: I never said it was easy. Its great that are going to win the division and blah blah, but Mattyboi is right. Otis' mast plan is failing big time. People that say "oh don't worry about it we will make our changes in the offseason its all good" don't understand that they contracts that expire will not help us in the offseason. These are items that we needed to move now.

I guess I do live in a fantasy world. Its a world where I care about the Magic and I am sick of people saying, oh we are flawed just like 25 other teams. Let's hold our team up to a high standard for once. In my fantasy world I want the Magic to stop talking about the future and start talking about now.

I think Dixon and Arroyo are the same people, but dixon has a slightly better shot.
If we traded dixon for arroyo it'd be worse than doing nothing.

FFS Otis... this team is not a contender, and you won't even try to make us one.

We better be hearing about a trade pretty damn soon.

This thread is depressing. Not because we did not make a move, but because we have the most fickle fan base in all of basketball. Regardless of the product people find something to complain about.

The current roster is assembled for moves in the coming off season, leading to a five year run. Any trade now ends the master plan.

GM Smith has followed his blueprint without blinking to the whims of a curious South East.

What does his blueprint show for this off-season?

Effectively our only moves will be the exceptions - for the current players and MLE/LLE.

I'd say the Magic not trading expirings for Kurt Thomas because Otis was afraid to go without 3 point guards is a pretty good "something" to voice concern over.

Care to elaborate? What moves in the offseason? What blueprint? You seem to know Otis from his inside.

Oh this offseason? I"m not sure that makes sense. And of course we are fickle..that is the life of a sports fan my friend. Plus, there are a number of people on this board that have stood by their stance no matter what. I just demand the best from the sports teams that I follow. I think everyone should really. Ya know?

we couldn't swing the deal to land Thomas...yes the Magic were interested in him, but the price was WAY too steep...and I said weeks ago that I was leery to make a trade involving either Arroyo or Dooling because we dont have sufficient enough depth to not get a PG back in return...

How many holes can we effectively fill with the MLE?

We've gotten lucky once with the MLE (Hedo), don't count on it happening again.

we'd be lucky to get 1 decent player with the MLE...however, knowing the way we think around these parts...we'll probably end up with future Pat Garrity 1 and 2 for the MLE...

I think we can get a decent player again. But we can only fill one need this way. This is the prime source of irritation with the non-usage of expirings.
