I don't think Kaman really has the right to talk like that. Unless he's already grown accustomed to losing. His play this season is been very disappointing. Is this a hint that he doesn't care as much since he's use to it? He's the biggest disappointment so far for the team. Getting outplayed by Bynum, and now Nene. His defense was great tonight, but what the hell is going on with his offense.

Tomorrow's game against Utah isn't going to be any easier. This schedule at the beginning of the season is looking much more brutal than we imagined.

Our next 4 games:
Sat, Nov 1 at Utah 9:00 pm
Mon, Nov 3 Utah 10:30 pm
Wed, Nov 5 at LA Lakers 10:30 pm
Fri, Nov 7 Houston 10:30 pm

We can easily start off 0-6...

Guyv, more than anything, I want you to know I respect your authoritaay, but....

Baron plays, we win. Watching the lead diminish was the fault of the rest of the team for lacking in the "hustle" department, like you said, but even with those mistakes, Boom would've provided the leadership necessary to win this game.

If what you're saying is that it never should've come down to the last possession/overtime, I can't argue with that. But we didn't sign Baron to have him, like Purpose is saying, not finish what he started.

tough loss tonite but when Baron left early in the 1st half and Camby still MIA I knew it would be a long night. :sigh:

Props to Thornton(30/11) and Thomas(20/7) nonetheless

GuyverX wrote:A couple more hustle plays and a win without Baron was possible. Heck, it was there 5 minutes left in regulation. All they had to do was play smart. Instead, it was all isolation plays and they were going to Tim Thomas as the go-to-guy. A lot of one-on-one with Thomas, Mobley, Kaman and Thornton. That wasn't how they built the lead at all.

If you can't win a game with an 18 point lead with or without your star, something is wrong.

They did force the issue with the iso's to the point of predictabilty. AL is the only player on the clips who can come out of iso's with a basket on a consistent basis. TT and cat are unreliable in crunch time.

A team goes to isolation plays if they lack true PG play. This team will not get anywhere without a PG(white chocolate is tasting pretty good right about now)

Of course if Baron plays we win. I'm not arguing that. I'm just saying it was possible to win without him after the 2nd quarter...and it didn't happen. Baron will be out a lot games this season (I'm going out on a limb here) and these guys need to learn how to play without him. He injures his finger after game 1 of pre-season. He injures his hip game 2 of the regular season. He's already banged up and we just started the season on Wednesday. I think this is just the tip of the iceberg.

If you guys are saying we can't win any games without Baron even with an 18 point lead then I guess we're not making the playoffs because it's not looking good.

I think it was possible. Or else I wouldn't be so disappointed.

Shhhhhush with the injury talk Guyv! You're probably right, but I cannot bear the thought of enduring another season with Jason Hart as starting PG for half the time.

Speaking for myself, I am not saying we can't win any games without Baron even with an 18-point lead. I'm saying we can't win any close games without Baron, whether they be in the form of late-game comebacks or blowing 18-point leads.

I keep defending Kaman everywhere I go...but after his performance the last couple games and now he's already talking like this is the same old Clippers, I'm starting to think of the word TRADE. :banghead:

He looked absolutely awful against the Lake Show to the point where it was only a positive for the team when he was on the bench. His game has regressed, there's no doubt about that.

kaman's horrible turnover hurt them, what was worse was them counting NENE's shot when the shot clock was clearly at 0!!!!!!!! Instant replay should be used in those situations! don't we have a back 2 back against the jazz? might be 0-4 to start

I think I see what the Nuggets did they moved Camby for a greater good their C is a stud he destroyed Kaman.

Baron Davis=Free Agent Bust? Playing but the way he got injured was pretty stupid. Hopefully we get a decent lottery spot.

Really would have been in good shape with a Portland loss and a win here gaining momentum.

Kaman=Growing Cancer

I'm not going to blame Kaman for the loss. It was obviously more than that, and for that, I'm blaming Dunleavy on this one. He put in Hart, who was a liability on offense (didn't look for a shot) and had a hard time defending AI. Mike Taylor was put in the game late, but was quickly taken out because of that foul on Kleiza towards the end of the game. I don't care about that, Hart is doing squat against AI and could not run the offense. Put in Mike Taylor, put in EG, someone because our offense was not clicking at all. Dunleavy did not know what to do in that situation and stuck with Hart, which is kinda weird since we all remember him putting him Daniel Ewing in the last moments of that Suns playoff series.

Kaman look fatigued. He was getting a few good looks inside, but he was obviously fatigued, gasping for breath when he came down the floor. Mobley on the floor with his post-up move worked for awhile, but Nuggets started to take notice, yet they STILL went with that play. We couldn't put Ricky Davis in because he was being silly on D, but they still could've went with Mike Taylor or EG. They need more isos with Thornton, which they eventually did, and less isos for TT (I'll admit that he's improved since last season).

ARHGG, this game really reminded me of the Clippers of old, who let big leads turn into tough situations. Paul Davis, Tim Thomas, Al Thornton: Congrats for being in the game. Dunleavy needs to run a better offense. His plays are obviously not working if they're leading to tough shots. Ok, B-Diddy's injury threw us off, but that game was in our hands and we let it slip.

I hate Dunleavy's offense. I really do.
