Gotze is overrated on most days. Anyone still think he's better than Neymar? cgf?
I'm not sure he's better than Harry Kane tbh

Past experiences like the error at Old Trafford which led to a CL title for Porto?

Not true.

So ?
That doesn't mean anything.

And not after a 2° leg in old trafford that Porto control the all game.
mercgold3 wrote:That goal would help United ?
Sure.
That goal would help United win the round ?
Nobody knows.
Btw the game ended 1-1, with that goal would be 2-1.
So, its false to say United didn't go to the quarter finals because of the refs.

Porto were robbed against Bayern in a previous instance by Hugh Dallas. Every Porto fan remembers this to this very day - I wish there was youtube back then, because you need to see it to believe it - Porto had two clear penalties not given and Bayern's last minute goal(knocking Porto out) was off a ridiculous made up foul. And there have been other experiences of just feeling like the refs push the bigger team. It's pretty obvious that the biggest clubs more often than not get the benefit of the decisions... I am just saying that by experience, I expect that. Maybe I'm biased. I'd like to think that I am rational and manage to be fair.
As I said, Neuer's penalty was a classic example of a red card 99 times out of 100. The ref didn't have the courage to send him off so early in the game. This is a typical case of a ref not having the balls to make decisions. I thought the referee had a good game outside that.
Regarding the Scholes goal. It's a bad mistake by the linesman(not the ref). But I suggest you to go hunt down the video and notice the push on Carvalho(by Nistelrooy). Carvalho jumps and he is pushed... I've never really decided whether it's a foul or not, but I think there's a case for it.
Scholes goal would have been 2-0. Costinha's goal would have levelled the tie. But if you want to say that Porto won the Champions League with 10 times less budget than the bigger clubs because they got lucky with Schole's goal(45th minute), then go ahead - I think that's a stretch to put things that way... but hey, I don't deny that it was a perfectly good goal and who knows what would have happened.

I'm telling you,
When Suarez put the ball between D.Luiz legs in 3rd goal and he (Luiz) stopped right there.
Didn't run anymore to go after Suarez.
He (Suarez) could have miss and where was Luiz ?
Stopped, watching. lol
Deep into that darkness peering, long I stood there wondering, fearing, Doubting, dreaming dreams no mortal ever dared to dream before;
