Who would be good pickups there that are better what we could get before?

I didn’t realize Javon Wims was that tall. I thought he was in the 6’1 / 6’2 range. Now it makes sense how he’s able to win so many jump balls.

Read on Twitter

Former DL. Fantastic in the weight room. One of the higher rated guards in the metrics community. And, as you can see, is a highlight freak. He's been dominant as a run blocker for 3 years. He grades out better as a pass protector on some sites than he actually projects to the NFL. He worries/will worry people there. I'd like to work with him.

College news that is somewhat tied to the draft in a smaller way. LSU is set to give Jerry Sullivan, former Niners WR coach, among numerous other teams/roles, a full-time role on their staff. It's said that the title will likely be centered around passing game coordinator. He's now 73 years old. To me he's the best wide receivers coach I've ever studied. He was a legit head coaching candidate in my mind. Other coaches just rave about the guy's knowledge and abilities. He's a coaching freak if there ever was one. Go look at some of the guys he's worked with and the production he was able to squeak out of them.

It'll be interesting to see if he gets to work with the LSU wide receiver kids they recruit down there or not. That could be a fascinating marriage if he gets his hands on their kids. Sometimes the title of passing coordinator can be a bit misleading so hopefully there's some clarity on his title.

It would two of: Landry, Davenport, Vea, Payne, Ward, Goedert, Guice, Chubb, Michel, Ridley, Kirk, Miller, Edmunds, Evans, Price and Braden Smith for example on this mock.

I can see us making two trades in the first round:

1.) from 9 to 15 with a team.
2.) followed that with another trade, this time with the Bills—from 15 to acquire both of their picks (21 and 22).

We can walk away with 3 first round picks in 2018 and in addition to having a future 1st rounder: 2019 first round pick.

I can't tell if this is serious or not. First, if we trade from 9 to 15 and pick up a 2019 first, then trade from 15 for 21 and 22, we'd only have two 2018 first round picks. Second, you expect a team to trade from 15 to 9 and give up a future first? That's awfully optimistic, Bingo. And 21 and 22 for 15 is outright robbery. The chart might be a little dated, but it's still a worthwhile guideline, and it has 21 and 22 being enough to move up to 6.

I'm going to need to see some legit identification from Alabama freshman RB Najee Harris. I know the kid was a top 3 recruit in the country but that kid is only 19 years old? My goodness.

When I fall for a RB I fall hard. Lord, please let me see the year 2020. :o

That seems steep.

The pick trade value chart says it's a bit lopsided but it's not so lopsided where I'd definitely say that would NEVER happen. I tend to allow myself to believe that a lot of things are always possible at the top end of a draft.

And for those that are a bit new to this and to those that want to get real technical with the draft chart, I'm obviously fully aware that not all teams follow the same draft chart, especially in the first 2 rounds, but the one I generally use just to have for SOME kind of guide is the one that generally seems to be the most popular and agreed upon one for the first 3 rounds.

In this scenario, I think under every chart I've ever seen you're still going to get a bit of a lopsided result no matters whose values you use. But if it's for a quarterback then you get into that territory that I talked about where something might not surprise me.

Didn't see this conversation before I made my post. Obviously moving up for a QB makes it possible, but if they want a QB, they're likely to try to get up to 10 or 12 with those picks (or higher?) rather than waiting around until 15.

JEUDY to me looks like a better receiver than Ridley. During the spring game Jeudy was making the upperclassmen look like little kids trying to defend him.

They’re going for the conservative play calls now. You can’t blame them with an all freshman backfield.

Can someone explain to me why Georgia keeps calling TOs here? They aren't going to get the ball back, and they're just giving Bama more shots to get closer for the FG.
