He's not a good defender, but he is better than Enes and has actually shown flashes. Enes has been, and will always be, a bad defender - he's a lost cause. Willy was and still is not. It doesn't matter how many times you say they are not equal rebounders, the fact remains that they are. The interior scoring is also essentially the same, with Enes getting a marginal advantage there.

 If you had said that part about Jeff in the beginning, I never would have responded in the first place. He's trash.

If you don't see that in spite of whatever level of defense Enes is at currently, he's better than Willy, I'm not sure what to say either. I've tried to stay away from hyperboli, but Willy is pretty trash too lol...

Alright. So I guess we're done here?

WHG was All NBA Rookie First Team, Ranked 6th in Rookie of the Year voting and is now gone. Gotta say, Knicks are a toxic team. Very few players actually get better here. You come here to die.

This is on Jeff. We could have played bigger as we had half-court personnel. Kanter/WHG KP/O'Quinn that's your bigs rotation. Fail on the coaching staff.

So were:

THJ
Shumpert
Landry Fields
Channing Frye

New York hype is unreal and stupid. Most of our young guys are not very good.

It’s silly to expect a softmore to beat out a credible veteran double double machine like kanter

Don't know if the use of softmore was purposely, but it was brilliantly appropriate.

I am fine with this trade and Willy was never going to get any burn with Kanter here and would just be a distraction. Frankly I don't blame Willy for wanting out of a bad organization.

What did y’all expect. He’s a second round pick that made 1st team on one the weakest draft class in recent history. He can’t create outside the paint and he’s prolly our worst defensive big on the team. I wish him the best but I’m not mad at this. People thinking Monk or a 1st was available is just typical knick fan unrealistic expectations.

you talking about the best team in the NBA vs a team that is 10 games under

so your wrong...we are in totally different situations so it doesn't apply...

your just trolling at this point...every player doesn't develop the same. Throwing them into the same category makes no sense. Some players need time on the court to develop even if they always aren't successful. And since we aren't in a position to care about results (wins/losses) we should have no problem allowing them to learn through there mistakes....unlike teams competing for a championship.

So, here's an interesting dynamic as a result of this trade:

Knicks traded their own 2020 and 2021 second round picks to Philly for Willy

Hornets traded their own 2020 and 2021 second round picks to Knicks for Willy

Therefore, we need to finish with a better record than the Hornets in 2020 and 2021 for the overall trade to payoff.

This line is thrown every fifth post. So we are all sure that Hornacek is making sound decisions based on who beats who in practice? We are all 100 percent convinced Hornacek is an equal opportunity coach who distributes minutes only on merit? We are pretty much on board with his rotation decisions? We know that Jack starts because he beat Frank and Burke; Lee starts because he is dominating Dotson; Doug is owned by Lance Thomas etc etc etc.

Just want you to say this aloud. That you believe Hornacek shows no favors and everyone on the roster gets exactly the minutes they deserve.

Doesn't matter if the Warriors are a winning team and we are not, the same principles apply. Kerr is basically talking about development of a young player, not about winning or losing games. Doesn't matter that he has All Stars in front of him, he still wants McCaw to stay hungry and earn his minutes by working harder than his All Stars and never feeling like he's owed anything. Kerr even says "I don't care where you go", so obviously he wasn't just talking about his team but he's talking about the general principles.

this is the NBA, not high school basketball. During the year guys aren't seriously going at it day 2 day...the season is grueling to people really think guys are going at the starters in scrimmages during practice?

Jeff made up his mind who he was playing and he hasn't altered his lineup at all this year...and we are 10 games under .500 its not like he would be breaking up some elite team by throwing some new guys into the rotation...

so you think carlisle is a bad coach? cause he said the exact opposite.

and yes it does matter what your situation is and who is in front of you. Not every situation is the same...

dallas and gsw are in different position so two really good coaches treat each situation differently...
