If Toronto advances that means Miami is going to the finals based on the fact that Jimmy Butler is Toronto's father.

Kyle Lowry deserves a statue in Toronto.

That was a heck of a game.

Pascal has really struggled in this series and the playoffs for that matter.

And its not because he is their supposed best player and game planning for him either. They are not asking him to take over. They just basically want him to do what he normally does. But he has just struggled with that so far.

Well, his jumpshot has been miserable. Other than that, I think he's contributing what he usually does... But when you're clanking 5-19 FGs, 0-5 3Ps and 2-4 FTs. He's shooting 21% 3Ps on high volume these playoffs... go that cold, you're talking Lauri!

So now that Boston has to play a game 7... Toronto has the underdog championship swag, and the C's top dogs don't strike me like elimination game killers (ala Kawhi or Lebron) who are gonna go unconscious. It's 50-50 but TOR has BOS where they want 'em.

Where C's (lack of) depth really hurts, is Stevens doesn't really have any adjustment options. When your only key sub is a low-minute relief for Kemba, it's hard to change up your look. Powell and Ibaka are bigger difference makers off the bench. They might have a hot night, they might not - if they don't and it becomes a sluggish, grind-fest, Boston isn't prepared for that.

And beyond the Raptors game, I really don't see a 6-man rotation surviving a series with Miami. They've got 4 sharp options off the bench. Gonna be really crazy if Toronto pulls this off, but IMO they have a very solid shot of grinding it out. They literally just need either FVV or Siakam to pull 1 competent shooting game out of theirselves.

Only way Celts win is if they go unconscious from 3.

Takes a lot to take out the champ.

Ha, not at any decent capacity. Took it pretty seriously until the 8th grade, when I realized being short wasn't gonna work in my case despite Mugsy providing hope. Loved playing casually but stopped a few years back -- just too many injury risks when I got competitive.

It will be interesting to see who bounces back, Siakam or Kemba.

And also what insanity Nurse decides. I'm fully ready to see Norman Powell at Center for the next game.

Luckily the most important face in that picture is no longer wearing that jersey!

But for real....JB destroys the Raptors.

No Kawhi this time of course.

Think Butler could have a big series vs the Raptors if they met.

Raps wing defense is pretty ridiculous with OG/Siakam/Powell/Lowry. Even FVV doesnt get bullied by bigger guys. Wes Matthews is decent defensively, but he's no OG, who's gonna be Jimmy's primary defender

no embiid and simmons either

he could. but if he's the best player in the series it wouldn't guarantee the heat winning

This strikes me of when rookie Joakim Noah was saying what we needed to do to win. And the team didnt take well to it.

In these cases as a rook, even if you might be right - its best to leave that to yourself.

Remember when he was regarded as the ultimate regular-season guy, due to his playoff struggles? Those reputations tend to change over time, as the players mature. Now Siaikam is occupying that slot. It's been a tough, tough series for him.

There have been a couple games in the bubble where I noticed Jokic asking for the ball in the backcourt and MPJ ignored him and took an iso possession and missed, and I got some awkward vibes.

But even worse, it’s coming from a guy who had nothing to do with Denver earning the 3 seed in reg. season.

Yeesh, rook's gonna rook I guess. He hasn't looked like somebody who knows what he's doing out there nor what to do defensively. Teams are also actively attacking him because they know he can't defend. So yeah.. should've kept those comments to himself. :nonono:
