Bobby doing a presser before the deadline is surely part of their deadline strategy.

Who here actually saw the Gasol trade coming? It wasn't even really rumoured.

Yep, Lillard will be a Raptor when all said and done.

Must have missed the Gasol rumours. I do remember the Lowry for Conley ones.

I recall a couple of posters suggesting it early in the season or even the summer of 2018.

Trading a 1st round pick for a bench player? If you're trading for Myles Turner he is starting.

next obvious question; who goes to the bench, who sits closing time?

Barnes. He’s been the least effective starter.

dragic and 1st is too much to upgrade the bench
thats why its likely going to be dragic + seconds for a bench player

We should be on the phone with Portland offering that for Josh Hart.

I dont think portland can keep hart if they want to create that cap room this summer so it would be a good fit

Actually that is perfect now to get hart and another bench player for Dragic's expiring and a pick.

Not at all.

All the posters out there complaining about FVV hogging the ball or Scottie being 5th option? He can lead the bench and shoot all he wants. Will that benefit the win column...? That remains to be seen

Charlotte should trade Kai Jones for Nurkic and cash. Portland should ask for PJ Washington.

Dont' love his 32% from 3, but yeah... Josh Hart is a workhorse, great defender, awesome on the boards, 4 assists a game?

Far from awful. He's immediately be our best bench player (not saying much I know)

Wouldn't waste a FRP on him. If we're going the route of adding another wing at that price, I'd be far more interested in Bogi (first) or maybe even HBarnes but Hart is so meh. I'd only really look at him if it costs a SRP or two.

They were all part of the same deal IIRC

What would our lineup look like with Turner?

FVV
Trent
OG
Siakam
Turner

???

I don't want Barnes coming off the bench. He deserves to be a full time starter. But so do the other 4 guys that currently round out our starting lineup. Maybe Turner should come off the bench? What do y'all think?

Personally I think it's matchup dependent. If we're playing a team with a big like Embiid, Jokic, etc. then Turner should start. Otherwise, we roll out the FVV/Trent/OG/Siakam/Barnes lineup.

Why do people think bogi is getting traded? Does atlanta need capspace?
