TBH - I would take
Robinson OG kolek & sign DLO for a veteran deal.
DLO
Booker
OG
Dunn
Robinson
with Beal as 6th man.

Arizona Sports can confirm this is the case, as Ishbia sent a letter to members of the basketball operations staff on Wednesday regarding the changes coming, per a source with the team.
“Let me start with the most important point – the Phoenix Suns will do things very differently than most other NBA franchises,” Ishbia writes in the letter after stating he wants to be direct with staff on creating a culture of accountability.
“I will be extremely active in the decisions and management of this organization, on and off the floor,” he goes on to write. “While I won’t be reviewing film, designing offenses, or running the draft room, I will be deeply involved in ensuring that basketball operations, like every other area of our organization, is performing at the highest level.
“I’m aware that this approach is different from most other NBA franchises. I’m not the conventional NBA owner and I don’t want to be. I’ve tried running the typical NBA owner playbook – hiring the experts, signing the checks, and getting out of the way – and none of us were happy with the outcome. Making the playoffs two out of three years, and only winning one playoff series, is not good enough for this franchise and this community.”
lol yikes
Gross. Dude inherited Jones and let him run wild (I still don't believe Ishbia was behind the Durant trade - I think Jones wanted to do it, Sarver wouldn't let him, and when Ishbia came along he let Jones do what he wanted) and got embarrassed, so now he's on tilt.
It isn't inherently bad for him to be involved... But what other NBA franchise has this model and has success? Something about it doesn't work. Maybe on the business side of things, but not on the basketball side. Basketball side is not a corporation. Mfker thinks he's smarter than the other 29 owners, but of course he does. They all think that way.
We better nail this Durant trade and better not surrender assets just to get rid of Beal. If we don't get a real starting PG I'm out on next season. Booker is not a PG. It's not fair to the fans or to him to waste him as a PG. Just say no to Point Book.
There was a Durant trade in place the summer before it happened, so yes it originated with Jones. The reason why it didn't happen over the summer is because the Nets wanted all the pieces they ended up getting, while Jones didn't want to pay so much for Durant. Ishbia took over the team and decided while at dinner to go ahead and give them everything they wanted.... because what's the worst that could happen, right?
It's also possible that Sarver blocked the deal not wanting to give up all those assets for KD then Ishbia okays the deal giving his blessing to JJ.
Sarver has never hated rookies but we know that JJ has never valued the draft or the lottery and always preferred picking up vets over developing talent.

That alone is bad enough but throw in the Ayton trade and the Beal trade we gave away a bunch of pick swaps, a bunch of 2nd round picks and our 2031 unprotected pick trying to patch up the holes left over from the KD trade.
I see the KD trade and the subsequent trades to address our lack of talent as all one giant never ending trade.

It's not the players that went out that stings the most it's the draft capital sent to Nets to get KD. In hindsight Suns got fleeced. If Spurs want Durant they better expect to include like 2 or 3 future 1st's and a few future 2nd's.

Because we are fans of a team. Go watch someone else then
Speak for yourself brother. It's Suns or no NBA for me, never another team. Ever. Being a massive fanATIC of this team is the exact reason I can't stomach watching this putrid ball they've been putting on the court. It's the only time I've never watched. I watched all the McD years when they sucked ass. It was better than this because at least you could convince yourself there was hope. This squad is HOPELESS

Yes.
"Jones didn't want to pay so much for Durant" <-- I know that's what was reported about the deal not happening at the time, but when has Jones not given up the farm in a deal? The only thing I'm maybe willing to grant him is that he didn't want to include Mikal, but you know those picks were going out. Jones cannot negotiate. He's good to great at pretty much every other GM skill but negotiating is too important to be 30th out of 30 GMs at it. I don't buy it that a top quality GM would've given up that much for a 34yo player. He would've got the deal done if ownership wanted it done but wouldn't have needed to give up that much.

I've become a mercenary fan (learned from KD) until Suns are watchable again. Just not sure yet which team(s) to pick next season. OKC title odds are not sexy anymore.

Gambo about the Suns calling the Rockets and lowering the asking price for KD:
When reading the article from The Athletic was easy to understand that "the leak" came from the Rockets side and they want KD.
Obviously they want him as cheap as possible but they are gonna be competitors to get him so they are gonna have to put a very good offer for him on the table.
This is so beyond untrue it’s laughable. The Suns haven’t spoken to the Rockets since February - not once! They’ve been focused on hiring a GM and a coach. Now with those hires done they can and will turn their attention to moving Durant.

It's still funny that some people on here kept trying to say that KD wouldn't have any trade suitors. Really, that was never going to be an issue, As there were always going to be multiple bidders for his elite skillset and abilities.
Really our biggest concerns should be and still are the gross ineptitude/ inexperience of our front office that could result in a very unfavorable outcome in terms of a value exchange.

I personally dont want the inevitable 3 young players, 2 draft picks that dont move the needle, anyone can do that including ppl on the internet, the GM with a $5m contract job is to identify the next SGA, Haliburton etc (traded future star) and land them

Why I despise some of the delusionally smug Rockets fans and want to dismantle their postseason odds if at all possible in any KD trade.
