It's a little hard to see. I mean, I don't watch as many Miami games as you do apparently, but their numbers are remarkably similar except for the fact that Johnson plays 8 less minutes per game.
The biggest different is Detroit ask SJ to be one of the sparks off the bench, we make it a point to put him in the PnR , whereas JW at this point can't effectively put the ball on the floor , post up, or score. They ask JW to defend and get hustle points with the occasional jumper because thats pretty much all he can do, where as SJ can run the point, post up, etc. Its very easy to make a case for JW without context which are pretty much everyone who ranks jw ahead of sj. Also all this talk about his premier defense, reminding me of MKG. You can be a great defender when your not asked to do anything offensively
Eh. SVG asked SJ to focus on defense and rebounding. Instead, SJ tries to force his offensive game and often takes bad shots that are outside the flow of the offense. When you stop being biased its easy to see why the guy putting on 7points/5 boards on 46% FG in 29mpg with elite defense is considered as having the better season than the guy putting up 7 points/4 boards on 37% FG in 20mpg.
One has a 22 USG% the other has 13 USG% doesn't seem fair to compare the two.

Elite defense? Again, you'll have to excuse me for not watching nearly as many Miami games as you have (which I hope you've watched at least 10 to be able to say he has ELITE defense). You have to think about who Stanley has been playing with as well as who Winslow has been playing with. I mean, honestly, if you're playing 29 minutes a game then you're playing with some starters, presumably more often than a 20mpg person.
I will say that Stanley has played pretty poorly to start the season, he is a rookie after all, and if I were to judge Winslow's numbers I would say he's playing "better" by default. But easily is a stretch. And SJ has to try and force some offense. He's playing on a bench that cannot score to save it's life half the time, so he gets frustrated and tries to do too much at this point. But just watching what he can do, some of the easy misses near the basket, some of the PG responsibility passes that are just too quick or just off the mark, etc he looks to be VERY good in the future. And that's why I think people are going to defend him. He looks pretty rough around the edges, but we have seen what he can do and what he will do in the future once the speed of the game slows down for him and he sharpens his skills that are already there. He will be a monster.

If you actually watch the games, you'll see SJ will try to get his once or twice intially and depending on its success or failure will try to get more. This idea that SJ tries to force is largely overblown through the course of the game. The fact that he's not pulled very often by SVG would indicate he's doing what coaches are asking him to do. Sh* even our vet players are getting him the ball. The encouraging part is that SJ shot selection i'd say 90% of the time is good. So forgive the rookie for occasionally looking like a rookie.

Idk why you even post stuff like this and leave out important stats like usage. Which is pretty much what i said. SVG ask way more of SJ than Miami asks of JW. Maybe instead of miami games, try watching a couple piston games.

Anyone else breathe a sigh of relief that we won't be Philly's first win?

I wish Philly's first win came against the warriors for their first lost.
then the world would implode.
It is a little more comforting though. You don't wanna be the first.

MKG can't shoot and is broken ; Batum is a 1 year rental.
Waste a 8th pick for a injuried player or a rental looks awful.

Golden State actually has a good chance to go undefeated for a long time.
They are the epitome of a perfect team right now. A historic one at that.

I bet my friend about GSW on Saturday that they would get to 25-0. I did have a dream last night to where on the TV it showed they lost 111-103 or something, I was like ****. It felt so real, lol

Crazy how some of us are dreaming that GSW might lose haha. Reality is so much more different.

they legitimately have the depth and roster to go undefeated the whole season. If you look , i don't believe its like any of there players are playing out their mind. For curry that sh* normal.
they won't, but if there was a team that could. It would look very similar to there roster and chemistry.

I think the streak will end against the Cavs on Christmas.
