You know, we are the only team constructed to defend the Warriors. I have NO idea how we out score them...(signing Lebron is out) but we match on defense what they have on offense perfectly.

Man, random thought, but Kobe really took every move in his book from Jordan, even the way he's running back on defense after scored basket, the fade aways,. the dribbling... Damn, and some people actually tried to argue, Kobe's better, he's a lesser clone(1 title less and much worse shooting % for his career).
Good assessment:

tbh duncan to gasol is not that big a dropoff at this point.

they will be right there again.

i'm not completely sold on the warrior superteam. they are losing their defensive core except for dray, and there is only 1 ball among 3 high-volume scorers. it's not foregone that they are the champs.

I agree for now, however I think the 1 ball aspect will be less of an issue on this team because they are all 40%+ 3pt shooters. Ball movement can get them all involved if Kerr can get them to buy in. Their biggest issue will continue to be turnovers IMO. It killed them in the finals and has been the Warriors biggest weekness for a few years now. KD has some turnover issues in the conference finals as well so it'll be interesting to see if they can figure it out.

Edit: Forgot to mention too, but we'll see how good they can be defensively once they get all the ring chasers signed. Although many might go for more $$$ this offseason given the contracts being handed out.

the Knicks circus act continues, they've signed Jennings on a one year deal. Good insurance in case Drose falls apart.

So does this mean Chicago is in full tank mode for the 2017 draft. Might as well deal Butler to us now and get something for him.

Keep him there until the deadline to make sure they have a better record than Brooklyn . Without Butler they will be awful.

Maybe for that reason they'd be more inclined to make a deal involving our 2017 Brooklyn swap. Increases their chances of getting two top picks in a great draft.

I doubt GSW have any easy time of it next year. Curry isn't built to be durable, and now teams know they can get in his head. He'll be beat-up even worse next year. Furthermore, a lot of the bigs have to be moved/released ( Bogut/Ezeli, maybe Spreights) to make space for Durant, which will mess-up their chemistry, defense, and depth.

The Cs were perfect for Durant because he fit their needs with out making any corresponding moves. Durant couldn't see the forest for the trees as they say however, and now GSW gets stripped down to make space for him. I think they'll still be very good... But an injury here and there would make them particularly weak, especially up front.

Pau to San Antonio is incredible. Duncan probably retire, but Pau is better at this point and they can put him on the Duncan minute plan. Man, San Antonio has a very good team.

Pau isn't going to SA until they find a home for Diaw.

This is why the NBA is about finding stars. Once you get the stars the role players are selling themselves to you. $2.9M for Zaza is unreal.

Word is several agents are calling the Dubs already saying their players are willing to take the minimum to join the team.

NBA is a joke. I hope the Cavs repeat as championships. I.e if the Celtics don't make it to the ECF.

There's some Wade to Cleveland buzz on twitter. That would be hilarious.

Hasn't he been signed to 40M/2 years by Miami already? Right after he tweeted something about relationships being important. Probably scared Riley that he'd bolt.
