Not going to lie, I thought it was Gerald Green! At first glance I thought, oh no what did the rockets do this time? Then I saw his "weight" and hair, I laughed at how wrong I was!

Any move has to be about the playoffs. Even a Cavaliers style implosion won’t keep us out of a home seed in the playoffs. Tyreke has a total of 4 games as a playoff participant and certainly didn’t shine in the Pels quick exit. By comparison, Marco Belinelli has had extensive playoff experience and knows what it takes to compete in an NBA Finals.
I trust Danny to make the right decision, but I hope we don’t end up giving a first for a guy who doesn’t move the needle when it counts.

I didnt reveal anything material, there are many colleges in the Carolinas. But, point taken and noted going forward.

When it comes to reliable information about what transactions the team is planning on making, you're not going to learn that much from anyone here. Even most of the verified credible insiders on this board (eg LBF) are really just people who have a couple contacts who work somewhere in the Celtics organization and might be able to fill us in on some rumors going around. The notable exception of Smitty who has multiple sources around the league, but he generally won't burn his sources or go out on a limb on completely unconfirmed stories. None of these guys is getting us information straight from Danny Ainge's head to this board, any more than the rest of sports journalism is.
I'm not saying this as a light against our board insiders - I just think everyone should probably be skeptical of everything, whether or not it comes from someone who has genuine sources inside the Celtics organization. Personally, I take both real insider and bogus "insider" rumors about the same way - as fun discussion talking points.
Yeah I'm honestly not trying to be one of those "insider" guys - just sharing news when I hear some interesting stuff. Don't believe what I put out here or not I don't care that much tbh lol.
Can someone tell what the rumor is here? Just got home and can't find it.

Who cares. We don't even have to know if he is a student or not.
What's next ? Trying to find if he is heterosexual–homosexual ?

Nothing new today. Yesterday I said that Lou Williams isn't coming here and that the trade just isn't happening and Smart won't be traded for him. I also said yesterday that this board sure will be disappointed when Smart isn't traded as he wouldn't go in a deal for Tyreke Evans and that the only way Smart gets dealt is if a team offers a lottery pick for Smart which won't happen. The rumors of Smart being available are pretty false - Ainge isn't actively shopping him but would accept a lottery pick for him. These rumors also will hopefully drive down his price in FA this summer. The management wants to keep Smart for this playoff run as it's hard to find guys with his defensive talent and versatility... As we saw last night, we will need him if we play Toronto.
Sure enough, today Lou Williams signed an extension. Ainge still is looking at Evans but isn't willing to add a first round pick to the deal. Talks heated up last week but there hasn't been much discussion this week as they still haven lowered their price. I would expect a small deal or two or the buyout market as opposed to a trade. I'm 99% sure no major trade will happen. Evans is also a longshot but at this point who knows if Ainge adds the first. As of right now that deal will not get done as he won't but I'll let you know if I hear more info on it.
Again, not trying to be an "insider".. There are like 10 posts just about my "credibility" and I'm not posturing to be an acclaimed insider or what have you. Let's have this thread be about the trade deadline and not users. I'll share info when I have it since I have a few connections to the organization but that's it. I'm not gonna make up sh*t to gain attention on this board.

1) Trading for Walker in 2005
2) Perkins/Nate for Green/Erden
3) IT for Thorton and a pick
I'm off to Orlando tomorrow with the family. Flight takes off at 2:40 PM EST, not landing until 8:29 PM. It's going to be fun looking at my phone once I get off the plane.

Can’t we change the deadline time to better suit Aussies?

I was waiting for the numbers, but with those numbers that does nothing but increase Lou's appeal.
Now it's a crime if we don't pay a first to get him for cheap for 3 years (the third being a team option).
That's about the best possible contract you could hope for.
Hell I'd trade Smart and BOS 18 without any hesitation and enjoy reading the General Board for the next 3 years wonder why Ainge gets so many steals.
