Scenario:
- Embiid plays at a level you know he will but you wont believe he will right now because of the trauma you had before of expecting too much
- Giannis asks for a trade

Trade 1

Bucks:
Joel Embiid
Tyrese Maxey
2028 Clippers’ 1st
- absorb’s 7M of contract thanks to Grimes signing just 8M
- Doc is familiar with Embiid and Maxey
- compete with Embiid now, compete with Maxey and Clippers’ 1st later

Sixers:
Giannis
Kuzma
Lillard’s contract
- Gets a reliable franchise player

Trade 2

Bucks:
Joel Embiid
Vj Edgecombe
2028 Clippers’ 1st
- Doc is familiar with Embiid
- compete with Embiid now, compete with VJ and Clippers’ 1st later

Sixers:
Giannis
- Gets a reliable franchise player
- Compete with Maxey, PG, Grimes and McCain

I think we have the assets for Giannis, but I'd do everything not to include Maxey or VJ. I know they'd demand one or the other, but I'd literally include anyone/anything else in a trade.

If you're extremely fortunate and MIL loves our guys... maybe you could get PG, VJ, McCain, 28 LAC, 30 PHI, 32 PHI for Giannis and Kuzma. Also Oubre and Drummond would have to be shipped to a third team as part of the deal.

You can't send Embiid as the matching salary or Giannis won't agree to the deal.

I'd rather pray Embiid has a good 20 game stretch in him at some point before the deadline this year and they can move him for something positive.

Hmm. I mean, if they'd do it for George, that'd be wonderful. I just really don't want to part with VJ, but he'd have to be included if George is the salary match. And if we really have to part with VJ, I'd want to hang onto McCain.

George, Edgecombe, Drummond, 2028 LAC 1st, 2030 PHI 1st, and 2032 PHI 1st for Giannis and Portis (Kuzma if taking him was a dealbreaker) is probably where I'd max out in a non-Embiid deal.
