$28M next year. $30M in 2026/27.
Duncan Robinson $20M next year.

Beal wants to play there. It can be a good option for the Heat to trade for Beal just giving up Wiggins and Duncan Robinson.

It was always a long shot to get Butler for Beal because he is a much better player, it’s not the case here with these two players.

The problem with trading with the Heat -- is that they would be taking on salary for the 2026-2027 season. Granted, with Wiggins he is 30m through 2027 - so it wouldn't be like taking on $57m of pure cap space. But if the Heat would do Wiggins and Duncan Robinson for Beal - I would do it

All the love with the potential KD trades will make suns worse. And since the suns don't own their own picks it is stupid to think that this will help the suns long term

You are trading Durant to get picks to rebuild your roster

I understand the team will be worse in 2025/2026 and probably 2026/2027 but potentially they can be better starting in 2027/2028
If you keep Durant and just run out the string - team will only get worse
Its not a one year process - it should be a longer term process

No, they would need to include Gordon since they don't have picks.

Suns then find 3rd team to take Gordon for 2 firsts... and then in season to find another team to want MPJ for picks.

Big win for us tonight. If HOU can't beat Dubs w/o Jimmy, they're gonna have 0 chance if he comes back healthy.

I’m getting a lot of a sane Josh Jackson vibes from Amen Thompson. Good defender, athletic but can’t do a damn thing offensively.

Jabari Smith, Cam Whitmore and Reed Sheppard and our picks need to be the primary focus in KD trade. Throw in FVV and whoever else to make salaries work.

I wonder if Udoka thinks he can fix Beal and make him not look like the hot trash he’s been here. I’ve heard he prefers vets…

Revisionist take with Beal.

Beal had decent stats last season for a 3rd wing and having a clash of role with Booker.

This season, when healthy he had good games also especially as 6th man.

His biggest knock is his injuries and fragility and making top 10 player money.

He has had bad games but that is now apparently because he was being turned into a player that he isn't and also again clash with Point Booker.

Beal is overpaid and injury prone, but he is not hot trash.

Bell isn't trash but there's a 0.00% chance that the Rockets will take him lol. Our best deal chance-as I keep saying, is to Philly for PG13. Then hope for something small on top of it for taking the deal. A pick or 2. Maybe McCain if somehow things go bad there and Embiid+Beal make it happen is probably the peak.

Houston already has Beal in Jalen Green....and a younger version of both of them in Cam Whitmore. The latter of which I would LOVE to have as he is an absolute bucket. Unfortunately for him, Whitmore can't get any love from Ime.

Also, on paper a KD for Ja trade makes sense for both teams. Or Booker for J³

In reality, MEM would never do the 1st one and we would never do the 2nd one.

I wanted to write about Amen Thompson too. I saw the game and oh my god...the guy is a an amazing athlete but he is terrible on the half court offense.

How in the world can the Warriors put an slow 7 feet guy on him and he can't take advantage consistently from that?

The GSW basically play 5 on 4 on defense because they treat him like Ben Simmons. And he can't do **** because he doesn't have enough shooting or court awareness.

I don't think he is gonna be like Josh Jackson because he is not a big headcase like Josh was. Josh wasn't a professional and he was a miserable person with so many issues out of the court.

Amen Thompson is super young and he cam improve a lot yet, but for now he is making this series easier for the Warriors.

I would be fine trading Beal for PG13 but I think we wouldn't get any asset out of that trade.

It is a win/win (or lose/lose lol) trade because we would take the longer deal but they would take the NTC. That makes the trade fair IMO.

Even with all his bad play and injuries last year I think that PG13 is the superior player and he is more impactful on defense than Beal, so the biggest question is if the Sixers would like the trade. I don't think so. But I think the Suns and Beal would be OK.

IF (big if) we are gonna trade KD to the Rockets I expect our FO to fight hard to get the #9 pick in the package and draft Jase Richardson from Michigan State with that pick.

Ishbia wants to fight for the championship every single season and I think the new GM, James Jones and him will not try to get our picks from 2027 and 2029 back because they would expect us to be good in those years.

But we failed this season and #9 is there for real. Jason Richardson is a friend of Ishbia, the Michigan State connection with his son, Jason played for the Suns and the kid is super talented and his position in the NBA will be a PG. He excells at defense and plays tough on both ends.

And his prediction in most mocks? Around #10.

It makes sense to get that pick and draft him to pair him with Booker as our starting backcourt for years to come.

I would love to draft Edgecombe who is a terrific two-way prospect from Baylor but he probably goes Top 5.

The big question is who is gonna be the high salary player from Houston in that hypothetical trade. FVV, Brooks or Jalen Green?

Knicks losing is good
heat will be done is good
Rockets will be the best choice still

Still hoping to pull a rabbit out of the hat and the team trades DBooker
or Booker asks out
but with 149/2 on the table - thats not happening

The thing is though, We shouldn't touch that trade without a number of assets coming back! Because by comparison, Beal is still the better scorer on better efficiency, has a shorter contract, and still actually plays with energy and tenacity.

But George looks completely washed, uninterested in playing anymore and is on a longer contract that would take us out of being in play for the very loaded 2027 summer of free agency.

And there are an insane amount of big name players, impact starters, quality rotation players and high caliber depth pieces throughout that free agency.

When Beal would come off our books, we'd have over $60 million to spend on completely revamping our roster around Booker that we couldn't previously pursue due to lack of trade assets and cap space. But signing them outright from free agency requires no assets surrendered aside cap space.

Taking on Podcast P at his salary for an additional year would completely take us out of any possibility of that option. So we'd absolutely have to be compensated for the risk. Because if he is completely washed or just doesn't even want to play anymore, then we'd be so much worse off taking on his additional year/ salary.

He doesn't even have a no trade clause and nobody is willing to trade for him despite being very available by Philly.

That's gotta tell people something!! And that's not even considering the fact of the potential animosity between he and Booker and how that could possibly become pretty toxic in the locker room, on the court, and throughout our roster.

Unless we're getting significantly incentivized, Phoenix should just stay away from trading for George entirely.

What about a 3 team trade though wherein:

- Memphis gets Dejounte Murray/ KD/a pick.
- New Orleans gets Morant/ Allen/ a pick.
- Phoenix gets Zion/ young pieces/ picks.
Obviously more parts to put together, but something along those lines??

The Suns would have to be under the second apron I think to combine players
Depending on the "pieces and picks" -- I would be open to thinking about it

I still prefer something like the Heat trade

As for the above Beal for PG13 - Suns need to stay away from that nonsense. PG 13 is signed LONGER than Beal. Granted, maybe PG13 would work better with Booker. But for sure Durant would need to go - none of that Big 3 nonsense

Also, I am in denial. The Pistons would be perfect for Booker as well as Houston. These playoffs are showing that. Which many on the board suspected before the playoffs started

I'd look for an Orlando trade with Beal as they really need scoring and a big name guard to sell fans on. Beal would be a perfect offensive compliment at SG to the elite defensive physical Suggs at PG, and if we were willing to take some bad unwanted contracts back in maybe say KCP, Anthony, and some meaningless salary fillers such as Harris and Josephs,

Then, I'd have to think they'd likely do it for sure! And we should be able to pull another key defensive piece like Isaac (my primary target in this trade premise) from the deal to allow the magic to maintain cap flexibility post trade.

And I believe Beal would actually agree to this trade too because of his college connections to Florida, the warm weather, the chance to be a top option and the overall fit allowing him to just focus on scoring and opening up the floor for Banchero and Wagner! Overall an ideal fit!

Same problem - only KCP is a really bad long term deal. They would be taking on a lot of money for Beal. And personally, I don't think Beal is worth giving up more assets to trade.

Buy him out or just waive him or keep him... trades that include Beal would not be beneficial to the Suns
