Rockets have to dump off more players right?

We should make a move for Motiejunas!

ok so how about Jared Dudley for Motie?

Goran Dragic/Telfair
Wesley J./Brown
Beasley/Tucker
Scola/Morris
Gortat/Motiejunas

Love Dudley but Motiejunas could help us out ALOT.

I'd rather not trade one of our leaders for an unproven player, but that's just me.

He is just solid European style of play player, nothing more.. He played in Poland for polish team Asseco Prokom Gdynia 15.6 pts 6.3 reb..

For me givin' up team and mental leader (Dudley) for him is just unnecessary.

This is my official TANK TRADE!

PHX/OKC

PHX out -

Gortat, Dudley

PHX in -

Lamb, PJ3, Perkins, 1st

Logic-

This obviously doesn't happen unless OKC is willing to hit the panic button a little bit. Dudley gives a great vet off the bench at a price they can afford, and Gortat gives them an upgrade at C and more cap flexibility.

Downside for PHX is that we take on an extra year of salary with Perkins, while getting worse this year. Upside is that both Lamb and PJ3 are movable with upside. If PHX can grab a pick in the deal, that's just more ammo for a move into the top 5 on draft day.

I think PHX really has to consider moving Dudley this year. He's one of my favorite Suns, but he's the most valuable asset we have to trade to a contender. Gortat falls in a similar category. His contract is very movable and there's a decent amount of contenders that would see him as an upgrade at center.

Flip Gortat/Marshall for a top 5 pick.

Draft Shabazz Muhammad with our pick and Nerlins Noel with the acquired pick.

Sign 2013 FA Favors. If Utah Matches, sign 2013 FA Milsap. No way Utah pays for both.

Dragic/Shabazz/Beasley/Favors/Noel.

What kind of assets do you guys feel it would take to get Rudy Gay in a Suns uniform?

A Dragic, Dudley, Gay, Scola and Gortat lineup sounds pretty good.

I hope that EGord injury is a fake and he wants to be traded. If we can catch him, the starting lineup will be as invented by f-office: Dragic, EG, Beas, Scola, Gortat. The problem is: what can we offer for him? What do you think?

I like Gordon a lot, but I think he is not faking his injury.

What about R. Stuckey? He was playing amazing last year, but this year he is not very much involved in the offense.

Beasley for Stuckey in December ?? Is early for this trade?

Well, offering Beasly we will have to take a player of this level. In overall terms, I think Stuckey is a better player, and his contract ends one year before.

Beastley will be hard to trade.
He had to start playing well first but then Suns would want to keep him.

I'm predicting a 25~30 win Suns team... Which means a top 5 pick is likely.

Gortat will be up for an extension after this season so if I was Suns FO I'd shop him around all star break to get another top 10~12 pick.
I'd keep him but the amount of money he wants would be the main decision maker... Basically if he signs for around 8-9 million a year I'd extend him.
But anything more and he will be over paid on a rebuilding team... Unless Gortat becomes a franchise face and Suns start making money from him as a face of the team.

Dragic is a keeper, he is still young and a safe PG to lead the next core.

Dudley is expendable too depending on the offer.

The team doesn't have to tank at all... Simply they will not win enough games at this rate... Unless a miracle happens.

Contenders or fringe playoff team that could use Gortat? Well besides OKC... :(

The Bucks? Currently 2nd in the East (Undefeated). Henson/Sanders/Dunleavy/2 future picks for Gortat.
Jennings/Ellis/Harris/Ilyasova/Gortat

Good luck finding a team, Most of them have good centers that are playing at a higher level than Gortat currently is.

Atlanta Hawks - Horford/Pachulia
Boston Celtics -Garnett/Milicic
Brooklyn Nets - Lopez/Blatche
Charlotte Bobcats - Mullins/Haywood
Chicago Bulls - Noah/Mohammed
Cleveland Cavaliers - Varejao/Zeller
Dallas Mavericks - Kamen/Wright
Denver Nuggets - McGee/Koufos/Mozgof
Detroit Pistons - Monroe/Drummond
Golden State Warriors - Bogut/Ezeli
Houston Rockets - Asik/Motiejunas
Indiana Pacers - Hibbert/Mahinmi
Los Angeles Clippers - Jordan/Turiaf
Los Angeles Lakers - Howard/Gasol
Memphis Grizzlies - Gasol/Randolph
Miami Heat - Bosh/Anthony
Milwaukee Bucks - Dalembert/Sanders
Minnesota Timberwolves - Pekovic/Stiemsma
New Orleans Hornets - Lopez/Smith
New York Knicks - Chandler/Camby
Oklahoma City Thunder - Perkins/Thabeet
Orlando Magic - Vucevic/Ayon
Philadelphia 76ers - Bynum/Allen
Phoenix Suns - Gortat/O'Neal
Portland Trail Blazers - Hickson/Leonard
Sacramento Kings - Cousins/Hayes
San Antonio Spurs - Diaw/Splitter
Toronto Raptors - Valanciunas/Bargnani
Utah Jazz - Jefferson/Kanter
Washington Wizards - Okafor/Nene

There are only a few teams on that list that would even think about trading for Gortat, but they done have s**t to offer us in return. Now OKC on the other hand........

Gortat for Lamb/PJ3/Thabeet and 2 future 1sts for Gortat would work for me.

Dragic/Telfair/Garrett/Marshall
Lamb/Dudley/Brown
Beasley/PJ3/Johnson
Scola/Morris/Tucker
Thabeet/Oneal/Zeller

So if OKC does that deal they basically traded Hoarden for Gortat and an expiring. (Martin)

And why would they give money to Gortat when they didn't want to give Harden the max?

Gortat will resign for 11 million a year average.

And they offered Harden max that they can give...

Harden obviously wanted more than just money but starting role and a bigger role too.
And rockets also having the ability to offer a 18 million 5th year :)

Only way that Gortat goes to OKC is if we take back Perkins.

Return to Phoenix Suns
