Tobias Harris is certainly a talented young lad whom we'd love to have on this team. But like with any situation there's a downside (as many have pointed out) and that is in all likely-hood we'd have to pay him a lot to keep him. So it's another salary vs impact situation and we are already staring down the barrel of two other ones with Goran and Wright both coming off the books. If it takes something like Plumlee/Warren to acquire him then I would lean towards pulling the trigger. Having a core of Bledsoe/Harris/Len is very good and could soften the blow if Dragic does walk. However it is ideal that Dragic stays because he'd open up a gaping hole at the 2.

I don't know if you're talking about a sign and trade or making a deal at the deadline but I don't like the idea of giving up Warren for anything other than a sure deal. Doing it for a player that may well leave in a few months would be far too risky IMO. I'm not at all convinced that Harris will be the better player 3 years from now. So, for me, I'd rather make deals that open up space for Warren, Ennis and Goodwin. I have a lot of confidence in Tyler and TJ and a lot of high hopes when it comes to Archie. Of course, it's also highly unlikely that just Warren and Plumlee alone would be enough for Orlando to make that deal. I suspect they'd rather wait for the sign and trade possibilities.

Harris is a RFA. He only leaves if we choose to allow him to.

Well technically Harris wouldn't be able to just walk as he'd be a restricted free agent, and I doubt the Suns allow him to just take the money somewhere else and run. The idea of trading Warren for Harris is smart IF we believe Harris is a better prospect than Warren.
I think we are entertaining trading Warren for an upgrade at SF because we sent him back to the D-League while Archie, Bullock got to stay with the Suns.

Yeah, that slipped my mind for a moment. So change that to "15 months" instead of a few. Sure it's less risky than trading assets for Monroe but it's still risky.

I hope not. I really believe he'll be our big star in a couple of seasons. I think we're just alternating sending our young guys to the D League right now, I wouldn't read too much into it myself. Probably because I don't want to.

I think he could too, but Harris is only a year older than Warren. If Warren hit 17/6 like Harris I would be thrilled!

We should be aiming for a home-run:

If they hire George Karl he might even be attainable (for someone anyway). Maybe a multi-team deal where we send out IT, Tucker, Green, Plumlee, Dragic and one of our picks could put us in the running?

It would take a move of absolute idiocy on the part of the Kings to trade Boogie. Unless he demands a trade, I just don't see it happening. Great player, but IMO it's a little like saying "Let's get Anthony Davis!"
SHAZAM!

Suns traded Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, Jae Crowder and 4 1st round picks and a swap so some Vegas Bookies would like us.

He and Karl don't sound like a good fit so I could see him demanding a trade if they bring him in. He's apparently still upset they fired the coach he did like. From the Kings perspective, he's been a real handful and with all his skills they've still only won a third of their games during his 4 and a half years there. But you're right, it's a real long shot.

Spurs won't spend 35 mil on 2 players. Gasol has a good thing in Memphis.

They will have to and they are going to. For one the cap is going up significantly, and they don't have any in-house star/budding star anymore that is willing to take a discount just to be with Pop or 'The Spurs', and the squad minus Duncan, Parker, Ginobili is lottery material, system or not. I am pretty convinced they'll even do it this off-season, because once their core or the success is gone, San Antonio loses it's appeal or bonus over other franchises.
It obviously doesn't have to be Dragic/Gasol but it'll be someone. And like others have said, if it were them, I'd totally be watching them. /offtopic

Why would anyone want someone who thinks he's special enough to dictate which coach he should or shouldn't have?

I don't care how good DeMarcus Cousins is. I don't want him on this team. Guy's a loser.

Don't worry as long as IT is here cousins won't come. Cousins hates IT!

@WojYahooNBA: Yahoo Sources: The resistance to George Karl hiring by Cousins' camp has stalled talks and given sides pause about pushing through on deal.

Sad times we live in. It's a bad sign when the inmates run the asylum.

The day Cousins wears a Suns jersey is the day I stop watching the Suns...and I have been a Suns fan for my entire life. I hate Cousins more than Garnett and the entire Spurs roster, and I HATE Garnett and the entire Spurs roster.

It will be a huge mistake to stand pat. We just don't have the horses right now to finish where we want to be. Unless Dallas just continues to suck it up. I guess Montrezl Harrell will be available at 14 so it won't be all bad.

They would need to dump either Diaw or Splitter which would be difficult. Plus Kawhi Leonard is a RFA and will get a huge raise.

Not sure what will happen with Goran. We are the only team that can offer 5 years right?

1. Re-sign 5/60 with a PO
2. Trade before the deadline
3. Re-sign full MAX

Letting him walk for nothing isn't an option...

Maybe we can bring him along slowly too and have him ready in about 5 years.
