Wow, $18M prize money? And the winner gets $6M? That's more than MLE players get in the NBA.

Unfortunately the subsequent Mandarin Q&A means I have no idea what they're talking about. But I guess that puts the "international" into the TI5.

Geez.
well, if this forum has Chinese language support, we will need another server to host it. So really this is nothing. Lol

come now, do you have to ask? you've seen the influx of new posters registering (myself included) following Lin around like his shadow. lol

Its not hard to imagine that there would be some crazy people following Lin too just for the lols.

then again, some of Lin's actual diehard fans are also crazy...
some people have too much time and just stays at the Internet cafe all day. Funny during the 2nd year of Lin's Rockets days lots of female fans swearing at the "fridge" (McHale) and the haters mocking Lin for being the iron king (shots that don't go in) or the master of bread (Chinese way of calling an airball) on Chinese forums. I'm sure that would be some good laugh for us if they come.

I don't think I can handle that much lols :P
Seeing juancesta's outrageous claims and the failed attempts of a lot of rational posters trying to reason with him is already funny

I admit, I enjoy all the silliness that goes around due to some over the top uber Lin fan claims. Add to that the overly zealous hate from Lin haters and BAM! instant funnies

New Hornets fan here. Yet, very knowledgeable basketball person. Was a fan of basketball way before Yao and Lin.

But, what does "QC" in Charlotte mean?

I'll just let Wikipedia do the talking

Nicknamed the Queen City,[9] Charlotte and its resident county received its name in honor of Charlotte of Mecklenburg-Strelitz, who had become queen consort of Great Britain the year before the city's founding. A second nickname derives from the American Revolutionary War, when British commander General Cornwallis occupied the city but was driven out by hostile residents, prompting him to write that Charlotte was "a hornet's nest of rebellion", leading to the nickname The Hornet's Nest.

Basically QC = Queen City

There was Lin is a joke thread started a couple of weeks into the season, and it never went away.

The moderator of the Rockets site strongly disliked LIn and did not hide it. For example, I just saw this:

It was never like that on the Lakers Forum, although there was frustration at times with his inconsistency.

How dare you call out my clutchie?! She is the best mod in the known world! Plus she has the sweetest ass in Houston.

Thanks for the info. Apparently Lin didn't know what "QC" meant either when people were telling him "Welcome to QC".

The rockets weren't better. They won two more games despite Okc being injury riddled. Won tie breaker and got the 2 seed. The clippers imploded. But if you try to reason with clutch you get banned.

Are you a gimmick poster with their act rooted upon some other internet forum with which you seem to have some glaring issue?

Don't bring this crap to the Queen City. If you have a problem with that other forum then take it up with that other forum.

I notice that Lin's shot as less "rainbowish" than it used to be which has always irked me, good to see he's tweaked it to become more efficient.

I'm excited to watch Lin play in an Hornets Jersey, can not wait. I have wrote an article on Jeremy Lin and why he hasn't reached the heights of Linsanity. Feel free to check it out, it would be much appreciated . Hope you all enjoy and Buzzcity!
