I’d LOVE Millsap for the right money. He’s not nearly the player he was, but he’s solid still, and is a great locker room guy.

I don't believe it. Where would Grant Williams and Semi play in the rotation?

Paul Millsap is not signing here. I see him going to a contender. A western conference team.

I’m not gonna go nuts yet. I’ll wait and see what happens. Like I said the other night there’s a segment of people here who bash ainge for anything. There’s also a segment here who see him as their personal Jesus. It’s ok to bash ainge today and be upset. They aren’t “plastic fans”.

U can criticize a gm. Plastic fans are the ones who say they are switching teams if we trade for this one, or leaving if we don’t fire so and so.

Haven't really been paying attention. Ibaka's got to command more than the MLE, right?

Unless New York wants him, almost no way Ibaka will get more than the MLE.

He' ll get offered something like 20+ million for one year in Tor with some sort of verbal offer of 2 more years at MLE after. Could go to Brooklyn on a sign and trade. NY Knicks might get desperate, but they need a PG more.

Hayward was a free agent, he had every right to make the decision he made. Problem is Ainge while the iron was hot. He procrastinated when that window don't exist during the pandemic.

Ainge f’d up by trusting by Hayward to do a S&T. People should be mad at Hayward too. He is a snake. He did us wrong like he did Utah wrong.

Ainge let some FA’s get away by being all in on an Indy deal that never happened.

Maybe Ainge can get something still from Charlotte but that roster is trash. Danny got played by Hayward.

Oh stop. Hayward has the right to do what he feels is best as a FA. The dude is obviously a mental midget and has proven it again taking big money to hide in the basement franchise of the NBA. Maybe Ainge expected a little more competitiveness from him. At least Horford signed for the Sixers and what was expected to be the best team in the ECF. Having that said, you can never be mad at somebody for grabbing the money.

Again, I really don’t think that’s what people are angry about. Anyway you cut it Ainge misplayed his hand. Wether it was agreeing to extend the talks, not having a backup plan if he walks, or just misplaying Hayward’s mindset. Either way this team just got worse with little hope to replace his production.

I imagine Gordon's mindset was changed by Charlotte's offer, an offer that no one expected.

That’s fine, but who are you replacing him with? At this point it looks like Ainge has to bank on Langford(who’s injured) or Langford(also injured). That’s not a good scenario for a team trying to contend. Supposedly he was in on Shamet, but we here that all the time with Ainge.

We are a contender, but he probably will get the kind of 2-3 year deal that the Celtics won't be willing to offer.

There is a reason that team like the Hornets have not only won nothing ever; they haven't even sniffed winning something ever. I find it hilarious that that stretch a player, Batum who was overpaid, to overpay for another player. Interesting and why certain teams will never win.

We are here to acknowledge that Gordon Hayward was indeed a player for the Boston Celtics from 2017 to 2020.

*Cough*

That is all.

I mean we've made the ECFs 3 of the last 4 years. Only time we had an early exit was with the Kyrie team we thought would be really good.

I'm personally perfectly comfortable trotting out five Langfords.

He's still solid and exactly the vet we've been lacking. He had some massive plays in these past playoffs.

Honestly I am not even mad: I am taking 10 times of 10 full MLE, BAE and both of our existing TPEs over paying Hayward 120 million. Even Indiana are not that dumb to offer that money in a sign-and-trade. Only teams like Charlotte are and that is why their best player in the history is playing for us. MJ and Kupchar are dumb.
