Re: 2021-22 NBA Season Discussion
Is Curry just guaranteed to have MVP level offensive impact until he retires because of his gravity? It is hard to imagine him shooting so much worse than he is now by the end of his career, yet people still are making arguments that he has been an MVP level offensive force these last 20 to 25 games.

Denver is such a weird team. When their bench is competent or good they look like a legit team. Then the bench looks like one of the worst ever and the team looks bad again.

Sample size is so small, but no doubt they have some talented pieces in place and I sure it hope it works out. As a Mavs fan I will always have sympathy for franchises that can't get out of their own way for long stretches. The 90's were so bad in Dallas and only Dirk and Cuban saved us. I also am thrilled to see the Cavs winning for the first time in forever without Lebron and was glad to see Paul lift the Suns.
Now if we could just do something for the Kings or Magic.....
And the Wizards, don't forget us!

Wizards at least fields competitive teams semi regularly compared to minessota
minnesota has been so bad they struggled to make the playoffs with garnett and have been there once in 13 years without him
if there is a team other than okc who is going to win their first ring soon, i hope is minny

being a back to back doesnt help much either

Sacramento and Minnesota are worse but Orlando's history is more comparable. They had Shaq and Penny after all; the last time Washington actually was a threat to make it out of the second round was in the 70s when I was still a teenager. It's been a long slog of mediocrity since as the team every year tries to make sure it's competing for the 8th seed; never striving for an actual championship.

Denver historically does well on b2bs in Jokic era. They beat them in Utah on a b2b 2 seasons ago with only 7 players available. Their bench is Jekyll and Hyde

I've been intrigued by the Bones/Barton/Gordon/Jeff Green/Jokic lineup they've been rolling out lately. When Bones is playing like a real NBA scorer, this lineup is pretty nice. 2 big switchy wings flanking Jokic, and 2 guards with some pop.
The Nuggs have pieces on their bench, but all of them feel not quite up to the role they need to fill. Too many of these guys bring it only every other night. Not a single consistent player outside Jokic. A lot of these guys can go off and have a big game and make Denver look like they have some teeth, and then disappear for a week.
I'm a little disappointed in Monte Morris. While it's cool that he's bumped his volume a tiny bit without dropping any efficiency, the bump has been so small it's barely noticeable. He often looked like a potential starting point guard, but here is with no other guards to compete with and he's just... fine.

Jaren Jackson has 25 blocks in history last 6 games. Finally looking closer to the defensive stud he was projected to be out of college. Now if he could get his 3 point shot going...

Big fan of Isaiah Stewart on the Pistons. Guy just plays hard and puts himself in the right position at all times

I don't know when it will start translating into wins but they've seem to hit on more picks lately than they get credit for. I also don't think we heave enough of a sample size on hayes since he's only played in 59 of a possible 115 games.

Ok why can't he rebound tho lol... he's arguably worse than eddy curry in his prime. I just checked and it isn't a RoLo situation either where the team rebounds better when he's on the floor. They've rebounded worse in all 4 of his seasons.

He was a notably poor rebounder even in college. He just doesn't get off the ground super quickly and doesn't seem to have the best instincts for rebounding.

Re: 2021-22 NBA Season Discussion
I hate NBA is rigged talk, but that play where the Nets coach interferes in the run of play with the ref 5 feet from him looking directly at it and doing nothing is ridiculous. Coach needs a lengthy suspension and once the league has enough refs back from COVID he needs a break too. That is inexcusable.

I will be absolutely FLOORED if the Jazz dont lose in the 1st round. Theyre such a regular season team with such horrific perimeter defense.
Theyll have to most likely play Dallas, La w/ Ad back or Denver w/ Murray back 1st round. I hope theyre favorites so they can win my more money. Their window is about to be closed. If they couldnt make the Wcf last year with Kawhi out theyre never going to

Joel with a nice 50 point outing. Had a great game on per minute basis. Hats off to him.

Never seen anything like this. Coach messed up the integrity of the whole game if the punishment is not severe enough. Getting demoted to behind the bench won’t stop other assistant coaches to pull the same move in an elimination game. Suspension without pay for the rest of the season should be the most lenient option imo. This can’t even be compared to Kidd dumping ice on the floor.
