I drove to ny to be with family and friends but will have to return home soon enough to confront it.

Its tough man, my friend went through the same thing couple years ago and he didn't get over it for months. Its tough.

For what its worth, his gf bought him a new puppy and that seemed to cheer him up more than anything else that we did.

Man, this is so heart-crushing. Our children shouldnt be allowed to suffer like that.
My condolences for your family.

Thanks. It's been a tough ten or so months. I can't believe how strong he was, and my sister and brother in law.

Thanks, and I appreciate the prayers, as did they. The support and love has been amazing. Between you guys and Facebook, he was getting prayers from all over the world. The cancer was just too aggressive, and the science is just not ready yet. They donated part of his brain to science, so it would be great if he saves some other kid's life.

we fly to NJ tomorrow to be with them and family. It will be a tough few days. Hopefully we can think about all the positives he brought to this world, and learn from his passion to fight.

Thanks Nev. I just got into Jersey last night and went to my sister's house. She talked at great length about everything, even the last moments of Adam's life. The poor woman really hasn't slept in ten months. But she was surprisingly calm, and a bit content knowing her son wasn't suffering anymore. It's going to be tough today, for there is a viewing from 1-4pm.

I will most likely kick it at my sister's house and watch all the kids. My dad said we could all take turns watching the kids and then go down to the viewing. I'm just going to lose it when I see his body. It was tough enough just listening to my sister talk about holding her lifeless son's body in her arms, but to see him in a child's coffin will be hard.

I pray that none of you guys here experience this, and if you have little ones, hug them super tight. I'm thankful for having two beautiful healthy children, but as I've witnessed, things and life can change very quickly.

Thanks man. I've found ways to get closure and each day has gotten better for me. I'm not going to get another animal right now but eventually will.

I'm so sorry to hear this man.

It may not be comforting but you have a lot of strangers who thought about him and cared enough to even mention it to members of their family. While I don't post as much as others, I always found Suns forums like a second family. They're always there, even if not for Suns reasons. We're not talking to robots. It's a giant group of 'penpals' who share experiences too.
I hope it helps, in any way, to know you're surrounded by people who genuinely care and are praying/hoping for the best for you and your family.

Thanks, there are a lot of neat guys on this board, which is probably why I mentioned it. I just thought with how many from all over the world could be praying or sending good thoughts his way, maybe just maybe he'd have a chance. It didn't turn out that way, yet I really appreciate those that said kind words, or sent prayers or thoughts his way. He was an amazing little kid.

Toughest thing in the world though today. I had to watch my sister witness the coffin closing on her son. He was dressed in a batman costume, and had many toys surrounding him. It was a tough ceremony as well. I haven't cried that much since high school when my grandfather died. :(

But again, thanks for all the good thoughts everyone, and hug your little ones tight.

Has anyone on here ever used a sensory deprivation tank before? I'm really curious about it

I took the sticky off this thread just because often times it goes for awhile without posts, and we had a bunch of stickies. If people want it as a sticky, let me know, but obviously it will always be here to post on regardless.

I added a poll and thought perhaps we could use polls here to see what our fanbase consisted of (at least our fanbase here).

I wish. I'll be stuck in Minny for a bit. But if you make your way up here, I'll buy you a few beers. :D

By the way, if anyone cares, the word is that And1 notifications will be back by the end of the week.

This makes things so much more convenient. Now I don't have to scour threads for hours on end to find out who increased my tally by paying me a compliment
