If you wanna concede 5 goals, yea...
He's not going to play. He'll spend most of the year with the youth team.

Re: Official Chelsea FC Thread
Game day. I'm off to see the Chelsea PSG game in a few hours. I've been sick all week, even went to urgent care yesterday thinking I might have appendicitis. All I could think about was "****, I better not miss the Chelsea game". All is well, feeling better, ready for game day. I'm taking my sister and my two nephews with me (age 13 and 12). I told the boys that we are a Chelsea family several years ago, so they will be wearing their Chelsea gear. The 12 year old has my old "Celery" tshirt. I told my sister what it meant. I wonder if she is going to let him wear it today. I know he wants to. LOL. Lets hope we look better than we did vs NYRB.

Re: Official Chelsea FC Thread
Chelsea in Charlotte, I would have never thought I'd see the day when I could go to a Chelsea game in my hometown. It was so strange to see so many Chelsea fans in one place. I've barely even met a another real Chelsea fan in person, let alone, thousands of them.
Nothing sexier than hot chicks walking around in a Chelsea jersesy.
61,000 in attendance. If I had to guess at the make-up of the crowd, I would say: 70% Chelsea fans, 20% neutral fans, 10% PSG fans.
My nephew did wear his celery shirt, which sparked a few hilarious celery chants from the row of singing fans behind us.
Seats were good, in the corner on the Chelsea bench side, about 15 rows up from the field.
I really hope Charlotte continues to land big soccer events like the Gold Cup, big European friendlies and perhaps one day some World Cup games. That stadium is fantastic for soccer. The crowd is really close to the action and the pitch is damn near perfect. Stop trying to force soccer into stadiums that don't work, like baseball stadiums or stadiums where they have to put down new turf a few days before a game. I am tired of seeing games in US played on awful surfaces.
As for the game itself, the team wasn't very impressive for the middle part of the game. Moses looked good. Oscar and Falcao looked good. Zouma looked good. I think the heat probably got to some of the guys, except the South Americans. But of course, the best part of the night was seeing Courtois waive off Zouma to take the penalty himself and then proceeding to blast the shot into the top left corner like a boss. That was truly worth the price of admission.

Re: Official Chelsea FC Thread
Seems like Moses is gonna be part of the team this year, has looked good in pre-season. If Cuadrado loses his spot to him, then we need to let him go

No point on burning him on the bench. Loan him out or sell him

Except that Messi doesn't suck for Argentina. Aguero is more disappointing for Argentina than Messi, but let's all ignore that so that we can hate on Messi.

Kenedy is an interesting prospect. He's a bit of a brute. I like it.
And that goal by Hazard last night, wow.

From his two brief cameos, I thought he looked good. Both times he has played up top with Remy out wide.

To be fair, top players have to perform for both country and club like Suarez does. Having said that, 1 great season in the Buli does not put KDB above Hazard regardless of what he does with Belgium.

Reading must not be your forte. Maybe it is not your first language.
I said and other people said that KDB plays better for belgium than Hazard does, not kdb is a better player. If you actually follow the Belgium national team you would know the key players are witsel, kdb, and somehow fellaini due to his aerial presence. However, the first 2 players on the gamesheet are witsel and KDB.
Also, Aguero does suck for argentina, but that doesn't take away that Messi sucks as well. (not as much as aguero or cr7)

Re: Official Chelsea FC Thread
Someone did say that KDB would be the best player in the EPL since he's better than Hazard for Belgium. You seem to be the one that lacks reading comprehension since I never said anything about you or to you.
No one here has disputed that he's better for Belgium, yet you keep bringing it up. Seems like English is your third language.

Re: Official Chelsea FC Thread
And Messi hasn't sucked for Argentina since 2012. He might not be as good as he is for Barcelona, but he hasn't sucked. Easily their best player in qualifiers, world cup, and Copa America.
