Lee is ok, but I don't see any minutes available at SG. Bass might be better fit-wise and has a shorter contract.

I'm thinking we should trade Ariza, and Seraphin to Detroit for Monroe and Will Bynum. Addresses our 2 biggest weaknesses of backup point-guard and the lack of reliable big other than Gortat.

No way Detroit goes for that. As much as I'd love for us to trade Seraphin, I can't fathom anyone wanting him. He's awful. It'd be great if could dump him on somebody, but right now he's got to have negative trade value.

Ernie looking to trade Porter/Ariza for Deng???

http://www.latinopost.com/articles/2223 ... artner.htm

Ugh! I would write this off as nothing, but the same rumor popped up around draft time.

Ariza has more value than Porter at this point. The Pistons need a 3 to help them win now which Ariza can do but Porter can't.

That's not a trade rumor! That's the Latino Post picking up a BUlletsForever blogger's fake trade suggestions.

Fisher, it's been in the news for 6 months....it popped up again. Would you really think Ernie would NOT do such a trade? This is the guy who signed Maynor after all...

Understand the source, but it did seem to be a legitimate option during the draft. Yuck it up. We all would have laughed if someone suggested he'd trade the #5 for Foye/Miller.

That being said, frustrating how many blogs are repurposing BS to get backlinks these days for SEO.

Stop making sh*t up., Indu. There's been nothing reported about the Wizards shopping Porter or shopping Ariza this year, and there's been nothing written about them being in on Deng.

You forget to change your tampon or something? Had a few rum and cokes, it was on the front page of Google when I searched for Otto Porter. Made nothing up, apologies.....smelled like a typical Grunfeld move.

Given Jack's age and contract, I don't think he is worth Ariza or Webster (or Porter).

I'll give you Singleton + Eric Maynor though. :D

We need a small forward in the worst way. Jack's contract is $6 million per, which for a good combo guard is not bad. What if the Cavs threw in the protected Sac No. 1.

I would consider Jack and Sacramento's #1 pick for Webster.

Let's get it done. Wizards need back court help off the bench and the Cavs need SF help.

Could we possibly expand it?

Cleveland gets Gortat, Webster, Maynor

Wash gets Jack, Varejao, Zeller

No. Maynor is dead weight and if the Cavs value Varejao more than Asik, they won't trade him for Gortat to come off the bench behind Bynum. Can't imagine Gortat being happy with that either.

I wouldn't. Webster is a perfect fit for this team, on the floor and in the locker room. And I'm not sold on this notion that we have surplus depth at the wings. Beal, Ariza, and Webster get all the minutes they can handle right now. I want to see SOMETHING out of Otto Porter before I'm ready to jettison anyone else.

Problem is you won't see anything from Porter unless somebody gets injured because there aren't any minutes left for him.

We should deal Ariza. He's expiring and should be worth something. We're going to have to take a risk and play Porter. But that's why we drafted him #3 overall. We're not contending this season, if we take a step back for a few months because we dealt Ariza, it won't kill us.

With Glen going down we should hold off on any Ariza trades for the time being. There is also the issue with Beal's leg. We have to see how some of these injuries pan out otherwise we're going to get more Singleton/Maynor time then anyone wants to see.

This is how I look at it. One of Webster and Ariza have to go, because we spent a high pick on that position. Whether he looks good or not is pretty much irrelevant to me—he has to play. And I don't think Webster or Ariza are good enough to keep a #3 overall pick on the bench forever.
