I might be willing to risk a little bit of overpay for Greivis Vasquez since he's capable of playing dual guard roles with his size. It'll basically be like paying him to play 2 positions --- approximately 15 minutes at point guard & 10 minutes at shooting guard. What I consider worth overpay for Vasquez would be around 2-3 years at $6 million annually

who would cost more Vasquez or Livingston?

Vasquez, he is a better all-around PG i think

I like Livingston more than i like Vasquez i think i have a soft spot for him because of the injury. I would really like us to bring in either one

I get the feeling that Lance and his foolishness has cost him a lot of money this off season. If the pacers can't keep him in check how are the hornets going to do it?

Vasquez is the guy I want as our backup point. If we can't get him away from Toronto I wouldn't mind seeing us bring Sessions back.

Pacers have no leaders. We have Jefferson, Kemba, and Michael Jordan.

I prefer Livingston to Vasquez, but Livingston became integral to Brooklyn's success this year, so I think they'll fight harder (read: pay more) to keep Livingston than TOR might with Grievis this offseason.

I prefer Vasquez because the Hornets need to keep the floor spread

so you go with the guy that shoots a career average of 34% from deep? Hendo shot better than that this season.

He isn't bad but if one of my main reasons for picking a backup PG was for the three-point shooting, I'd have guys like Mo Williams, Jose Calderon, Patrick Mills, and Randy Foye on my radar.

the question was between Vasquez and Livingston, and Livingston is a career 20% 3pt shooter

Thing you have to factor in is Al Jefferson will play big minutes with the 2nd unit and thus the backup PG but at the same time it can't be a guy who's looking to prove he can start because Kemba plays big minutes. So he has to be a shooter who's not good enough to showcase himself as a starter because he won't get the minutes for that here.

To me, Mo Williams makes the most sense.

well my point is livingston can't spread the floor at all and i just saw a debate on the two and jumped in; i didn't consider anyone and everyone; though theres a distinct chance vasquez' shooting improved and he's a better shooter than hen do

Strangely enough, I think I'd be okay with Lance as a Hornet if the money's right. McBob needs a tag team partner to annoy the chit out of LeBron with.

Vasquez is definitely a better shooter than Hendo, he just takes a lot of ill-advised pull-up threes.

I don't want to use our cap space this year. The options are too limited. We just need to fill in whatever holes aren't addressed through the draft and wait till next year. We'll need to pay Kemba next offseason anyway.

Lance Stephenson ia most definitely not the type of player we need at this point.

It's a shame that he's got rocks in his head because he could be an outstanding player.

I think he's ovverated at this point but he'll still get paid imo.

I don't want him unless we can get him at a good deal around 6 mil and we don't draft a SG. The chances of both of those things happening make it unlikely because I think we'll draft a SG and a big name team like the Lakers will give him 8 mil or more.

Per RealGM story, Kevin Love is hanging out in Boston this weekend. He can't comment on anything, but then talks about how great the coach is and how FA's would like playing there.

Really? Boston?

If Love is that open to playing somewhere other than LA, then let's make our run at him. Granted, ya gotta have a package that the Wolves want, but I'd say #9, a future pick, Hendo and Zellar might get it done. Then sign Lance, McBob, Mo Williams, draft a SG/SF at 24, and we're on our way...

PG - Kemba, Mo
SG - Lance, Neal, pick
SF - Hyphen, CDR
PF - Love, McBob
C - Big Al, Biz
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.
