I'm still around. I probably just do more lurking than posting like I did before because my predictions of Kemba becoming Charlotte's point guard of the future and sooner than later & definitely before never a top-10 point guard in the league are ringing true each passing season. Most of my debates on this thread revolved around telling Charlotte fans to be patient with Kemba and explaining why a lot of his woes were greatly over exaggerated due to the lack of talent around him. It was no secret that I followed the Hornets/Bobcats because of Kemba and my UConn alliance, but through all the years of watching I've grown a liking and learned a lot of knowledge about the franchise as a whole through various posters in this forum

As far as Jeremy Lamb, I'm happy that he's getting a fair chance at the moment because I think Charlotte will need his scoring ability from the wing position if they want to advance in the playoffs when defenses stiffen up and take away your normal offensive flow after analyzing strategy and tendencies. Lamb is one of the very few players on this roster that can create his own offense and that's vital come postseason

Thank you based god.

Good to hear from you!

I'll admit I didn't like it at first, but I've grown to appreciate having the differing perspective of "player fans" on the board. Just thought it was interesting that our resident Hansbrough fan is still hanging around, as well as a couple Lin fans that check in now and then, but Lamb is still here and has been killing it and you guys have been missing some great gloating opportunities. I've been a fan since the draft, but not like you and Ichiro.

By the way, any thoughts on Shonn Miller? You may have noticed he was our D-League team's first ever draft pick.

I think Lamb slept with Cliffords wife and he is slowly working his plan to destroy Lamb's life.

perhaps. But i mean, how often are players hung out to dry like that in the media... during the playoffs? just suspend him if he was breaking team rules. I'm wrong if this occurs more than I realized. Just so its known it wasn't "lamb fans" ( whatever the hell that is) who were clamoring about this, established writers like nate duncan were.

I admit it was odd, but we went out of our way to trade for Lamb, we extended him, gave him significant minutes for the first month of the season, and then his role was reduced. Given what we know about Cliff from a player relations perspective, I think he deserves the benefit of the doubt. It's not like he liked him, arbitrarily decided he didn't like him, then this season is back to arbitrarily liking him again.

^ i think its part of a player development program, just being hard on him to get the best out of the young player. In the long run this is good for his defensive development and over all consistency, especially if they view him as a major contributor in the future.

Agreed with that, I've got no problem with tough love if it leads to him being a better player and the potential and physical ability is clearly there.

Shonn Miller is a tweener, play like a PF in a SF body. I doubt Miller will be able to defend the mobility of the SF position in the NBA and I think he'll struggle to score inside on the PF position in the NBA the way was capable of in college. Miller's shot at being a legitimate roster player in the NBA is to improve his 3-point range (he made a few at UConn) to become a stretch 4 and prove that he can hold his own defending the PF position in the trenches. Miller has a solid body build similar to that of Marvin Williams, therefore the aforementioned is possible

The team had a day off, probably doesn't mean anything one way or another.

Lamb need more minutes. He is averaging 21ppg per 36 minutes. That's more than CP3, Harrison Barnes, Kyle Lowry, Lamarcus Aldridge, and Jeremy Lin.

I agree. Coincide that with the fact that a combination of Lamb & Kemba in the backcourt together has been a apparent positive for Charlotte dating back to last season until now. That's without mentioning that very same continued success with Lamb & Kemba with either of the starting wings (Batum or MKG). I just feel like Lamb is that one piece within the current makeup of the roster that could push the Hornets to better results with increased opportunity

Lamb keep us this play and Cliff keep giving him consistent minutes he might have a shot at 6th man of the year.

There are two players averaging 20/12 per 36 minutes this season: Zach Randolph and Jeremy Lamb. What the hell?

Yeah I really wanna see what we have in this guy.

I like the idea of a kemba, lamb, batum, Mkg/Marvin , zeller lineup in the playoffs.

If you can't go small in the playoffs your upside is fairly limited as elite teams usually can and blow you off the court.

I can sympathize with Lamb fans feeling frustrated at his PT. I'd be curious to read a discussion of theories as to why that might have been the case. Let's start with the base assumption that Clifford generally has reasons for his rotation choices, and it's not just a "he hates Lamb" -esque arbitrary decision by Cliff. I think to fully understand we would have to understand where the team is trying to get to in terms of an ideal rotation, but let's try to put some thought into it, analyze rotation patterns and situations where he has gotten more vs. less minutes, and see what the consensus is. Is it something that has to do with a specific aspect of JLamb's game, or is it the reality that his PT is not significantly tied to his on court performance?

Will dive into this myself, but curious to read others' thoughts.
