This is a grade that could skyrocket depending on how well they do, but they're all pretty risky picks that may not pan out.

The grading is really just what you think of the picks and trade based only on what we know now.

If you think it's a b/c, did you think there was another player we should have drafted instead?

I know nothing about Ulis other than that he's a good PG but is also only 5'10 150lbs. Didn't know he was THAT good. Do you consider him a steal or do you think his draft position is about right?

I liked him. He had the second best ast/to ratio of all guards in college basketball...a steal? Potentially...he had an insane ast/to ratio and was defensive player of the year and conference player of the year overall...I mean this is a conference with Jamal Murray and Ben Simmons.

He's just small. Kay Felder (also small) from a smaller school even posted a more insane ast/to ratio and was also good defensively but is more stout and most thought he could be a rock and not get pushed over easily so I liked him and Ulis both.

The only question with Ulis is how skinny and lightweight he is...if he can put some muscle on, I have zero doubts about him. I actually have fewer doubts with him right now than the other two. I mean Ulis is for real and will be a fan favorite...if he needs to put on weight, I imagine he will.

I guess Booker told them we have to draft him (he played with him last year).

-Pages upon pages of hoping Bender falls or should we take Chriss or Murray
-End up with both Bender and Chriss

This is good.

I was silently freaking out in class by myself when I saw how our draft went.

Not that it matters, but Michael Wilbon at ESPN says we had the best draft.

My favourite suggestion was to trade for D'Angelo Russell, but a lot of the board seemed to want Bender or Chriss so it was nice that our board (overall) got what we wanted. I absolutely love bigs that can shoot the 3 (I believe its a necessity) and defend.

I'm not knocking the guys we got. I like them and I'm rooting for them, but they're risky picks. I'm not sure I should speculate, because it'll be taken as "I'd rather have these guys over the ones we've got" but it's more of balancing the risk. So, with that in mind.

I think Kris Dunn will be in the running for Rookie of the Year and has a good shot at becoming a multi-year all-star and will likely be more durable than Bledsoe - who would then likely have to be moved. I would've liked Dunn/Chriss/Ulis or another guy like Zimmerman or Qi or Brogdon. Another scenario I like would be Bender and Valentine/Baldwin and Skal and Ulis or the three other guys I've mentioned.

This being said, these guys could blossom and be all-stars, but it's going to be at least two seasons before they show why they were drafted this high. Sure they could shock everyone and do it next season, but that's unlikely.

As my sig notes, I'm going to be patient with these guys.

Honestly prior to 6 hours ago I thought they'd both bust, but I'd rather have 2 lottery tickets with chance of hitting than guys with no chance of making any significant difference.

Dunn can make the impact the quickest of guys we could have drafted, but he is a backup. But him and the shooters will show how good they are sooner, because it's easier to come in as a guard and hit a few shots than to come in as a big and make a difference. It's always that way. Almost always. Amare was different.

They both have high bust factor, but with our team, yeah, you have to roll the dice and not go for what seems safe. I'm glad they did. And when they don't come along quickly, we get another high pick next year, and then we are getting there. If they come along quickly, can't argue with that.

Didn't he get drafted by Minnesota? I think he'd be a backup in both places to start but I think he is a guy you can plug in as a starter pretty quickly if need be.

A video previewing Ulis. This kid to me could a big steal for us, he can flat out play. Outside his lack of size physically, he has pretty much everything you want in a PG. I think he's got definitely starter potential too.

He's too small to start, there's just too many big pgs that would bully him. But he certainly could be a nice backup especially if he develops a consistent 3. I would have stayed away because his size scares me but the dude has talent and a great feel for the game. At 34 it's a fine pick; hope he works out.

People get too caught up in size size size. The guy has just about every ability and skill you want in a PG. His understanding of the game and ability to see the floor is probably right at the top of this draft. He has quickness, and he's short so it allows him to get around guys who are bigger than him. He also has some separation moves in his pocket that he uses to create space for himself. So he's got some tools that give him some help with his size disadvantage. He's gonna have to get stronger and adjust obviously, but if he does that I don't see any reason he can't be a starter if the opportunity arose. I don't think lack of size alone is a disqualifyer. I'm not saying hello be elite or anything like that, but just a decent starter.

I'm with you. I like the two guys because both players were lauded as the #3 talent in this draft and we took both of them. That said, they are both highly risky, high reward players and I would've liked to see us go with a slightly more conservative, perhaps more ready to play guy. I went with 'A' because I thought the trade for a high reward/high reward guy was a great move and I have no doubt we would not have gotten anyone better from those assets we traded away. Time will definitely tell with how our three guys will fare but I think we drafted well at #4, we made a great move for #8 and we took a strong player with potential with our last pick.

I gave them an A:

My takeaways:
a.) Dunn - i wish we would have drafted him. I really think he's going to be a stud. His interview with Freddy C. a few nights ago just showed me how mature the kid is. But with Bledsoe/Knight there wasnt room for him.
b.) Bender - a mystery. He's literally 0-100 and anywhere in between. I hope he becomes a Dirk type player, with better rebouding. He's going to take years to mature, so i'll give him at least 3 years.
c.) Chriss - Solid pick. He could be a steal. I hope that he and Bender can both develop without hurting eachother.
d.) Bogdan - I'm bummed. I really think he's going to be something. BUT....the fact that he'll be in Sactown for years, and wont make a huge impact makes me feel a little better. Having him thrive on a contender would make me salty.
e.) Ulis - He could be our Mighty Mouse. I'm excited for him.

Next season will be a struggle, but i'm excited seeing this team gel.

Knight/Chandler/Tucker seem to be the only players that are outside of our core. Finding homes that fit for these guys should be a priority.

I liked that our FO went and traded up for a guy they're high on. Takes balls and it was a good deal too. That's why I ended up voting B

Bender and Ulis need to become buddies, then become best friends with the weight room together lol
