Yeah I agree. There's not much the Spurs could get back that'd be worth trading Kawhi. But it's worth doing due diligence if there's even a (very) small chance it could happen.

This is a good question though--when was the last time a top 5/10 type player was traded at their peak? Utah version Deron, Melo to NYC, CP3 to Clips and Garnett to Boston are ones I can think of. But I guess the common thread with those is they said they weren't going to re-sign in FA.

If the Kings are going to take crap from the Cav's, I'd offer Vivek Delly/Telly/DJ for Hill. Consolidate the bad contracts into a useful guard to run with Brogdon and Bledsoe.

And the piece also mentions needing to trade Skal for a roster spot. He's not very good, but I'd take a flyer there depending on the price.

If they want to get out of some of the money on his deal, why would they take a deal where they get out of no money? In fact, I think they take on money in a Hill for Delly/Telly/DJ trade.

Jabari, Middleton, 1st seems reasonable if they're into Jabari. They've been rumored to want Middleton before.

Once again...please tell me how a 20 ppg with a .563 ts% is bad

No jumper no 3ball, terrible defender. His game is athleticism, and he has torn his ACL twice now.

I shouldn’t have to even answer this nonsense, Jabari doesn’t get Riley out of bed. Not happening, thankfully.

Wonder if Cleveland would do Delly for Shump straight up.

Lol. The comedy is you think he is so good, yet this entire thread is ways of getting rid of him. Come on mannnn.

I mean Beasley looked like a better running mate for Giannis last season than Jabari....what does that tell you?

Good luck to you Buck fans, got a great one in Giannis. I hope you can find a team to take Jabari off your hands, it just won’t be Riley and the Heat.

Feel like if the Spurs would trade Kawhi it means he's got some hidden medical condition that isn't correctable.

Only a few posters have advocated trading Jabari for spare parts, most have wanted to package him with brogdon or midds to consolidate our wing talent. Dude can for sure hit 3s though and his defensive woes were magnified by having the worst coach in the league will be interesting to see how he comes back from this injury.

Do we think Middleton is more or less likely to be traded post-Kidd?

Less likely imo. I think the Bucks want to see what he looks like with bled, Jabari and Giannis in a modern offensive system

I have a feeling we buy low on a backup center with Vaughn and a future 2nd or something. Still think Dedmon is a Buck by next weekend

Kawhi is a pipe dream, if he's going to be healthy he's going to cost a ton, more than we have. Jabari, Middleton, Brogdon maybe even a pick on top or something to that nature, but Giannis and Kawhi...

Kidd the aspiring GM / POBO being out might be an even bigger deal than us firing a coach.

Still like Wilson to Houston for Tarik Black. Think there's a chance Morey still finds value in Wilson's rookie deal, stashes him with the Vipers for the rest of the year & hopes he can fit in D'Antoni's system for his sophmore season. If not he'll have no qualms about declining his 3rd year option.

Black just isn't a D'Antoni type player but would be a nice physical body for us.

Think about how impolitic Kidd must have been to lose a power struggle to Jon Horst.

Wilson and Vaughn for Boban. Play the fantastical Serb against the league’s widest bodies. Open roster spot for most appealing veterean buyout target or top G-leaguer for rest of year/summer league/trainining camp with the opportunity to make next year’s roster. Right now I’m partial towards the Windy City Bulls Jaylen Johnson, a lanky who carved up the Herd with 12 dimes last week.

It's not unlike Ray Allen vs. George Karl. Karl won round one and got Allen shipped out, but very soon after did Kohl wise up and it became clear to everyone that Karl was the problem.

Not that it isn't the most wishful of wishful thinking but damn could you imagine Giannis and Kawhi on the same team.
