What about trading back? I like a few guys who should be around at #17 (this Williams kid from FSU and Bey, plus others).

Boston might want this Okongwu kid-and they don't need 3 more rookies. What about
#7 and #47 for #17, #30 and Boston's top 10 protected 2021 pick?

We gamble that MAYBE Boston slips next year (I know, not probable but possible) and we add a nice asset. Anyways, another 2021 pick would be nice.

Nobody will give you a pick in next year's draft for a pick this year straight up, let alone adding another two 1st round picks this year.

Robert-I figure Boston has A TON of young guys, and might go for the highest pick they can get. Then, next year they have to give up a top 10 protected pick-but again, they still have lots of young bodies that need development so they can skip the draft a year

Okongwu moves way better than Carter. He's quite a bit smaller though.

I don't want to draft him. No bigs.

If they draft big I am out. We may have new front office but I am still done. That's a first step this organization needs to take and realize 90% of bigs are useless. Unless there is really 7 footer with guard skills who knows how to play as big in post. Basically Dirk.

I think #7 for #17 and #30 would be a decent deal, but I think our ratio of inexperienced guys to vets is too light on vets as it is. Just take your BPA and be optimistic he develops into a starting talent.

Just dropped my full 12 min Okongwu breakdown. I don’t think he makes sense for us, but he’s gonna be a good player.

I don't watch a lot of college basketball but the one game of Obi Toppin that I caught I was thoroughly impressed. He looked like he had all the tools.

He only makes sense if Lauri or WCJ are on the move. I like his athleticism and motor though.

I like him too. My concern though is that he’s not a great defensive rebounder and his narrow base is not promising in that regard. If he had lateral quickness you could conceivably hide him on a wing but he really struggles defensively. Coupled with his age there are legitimate concerns.

Offensively though he’s a blast. Reminds me of a cross between two former suns, both STAT and The Matrix.

Hello everybody,

Tool: https://nbadraftcomp.herokuapp.com

I recently developed an NBA Draft Comparison tool that has gained a good amount of popularity on Twitter by several draft analysts

The tool retrieves similar physical, statistical (per40), and advanced stat comparisons for any player dating back to the 2000 NBA Draft based on their position

Note: Advanced stats only go back to the 2011 Draft and there are currently only limited physical comparisons for some of the 2020 prospects as the combine hasn't reported official measurements. Additionally, if you cannot find a player in the stats, visuals, or advanced pages you can enter their sports-reference url and the site will generate the comparisons then.

If you end up seeing this, any feedback/comments/suggestions that you have or would like me to add a feature to the website is something that I'd appreciate a whole lot. You can dm me here but preferable on twitter:youngwizzydfs and I will respond asap.

The experience is a lot better on desktop/laptop than mobile which is something I am working on right now

If you don't mind sharing the tool with your friends and people that would mean a whole lot as it could lead to potential donations to my site that will help keep it up! Been working on this for a few years now so it's been one hell of a roller coaster ride!

Per 40 stat comparison can be found here: https://nbadraftcomp.herokuapp.com/stats

I wouldn't say 90% are useless, but most bigs are not good value in relation to their draft position. Like you said, they need to be extremely skilled to justify taking them high in the draft. That's why I just don't see why Wiseman is projected to go that high (I understand it more with Okongwu, but still don't want him).

useless in terms of star talent to build around. you will notice that in last few years lack of star prospect at big positions. KAT (#1) in 2015, #11 Sabonis in 2016 as Adebayo at #14 in 2017 from lottery. Siakam was #27.

Also guess who from 2018 draft which was bigs heavy made All-Star game? A guards. Maybe one of Ayton or Bagley or Jackson make All-Star game but guards like Doncic and Trae are already there.

And from those all bigs I mentioned maby only KAT and Siakam are ones worthy to build around a franchise.

Bigs are usually useless if they dont showcase skill like Carter. But Wiseman and Okongwu are very talented players would actually draft them and trade the inferior one for position of need. You want foundational bigs that can play for the team 10 yrs, not one dimensionals that cannot play both sides of the game.

That's a pretty harsh definition of useless, but I agree with your point.
