I wish, but was just reading that the Knicks probably wouldn’t have done this unless they know OG is staying.

Randles contract conveniently expires right before Mikal is due for an extension. Unfortunately, that core is going to be together for some time.

And yea, no one wants to come here. Y’all better be praying for Ingram at this point lol.

What four 1st round picks did the Knicks give them? if it's their own then it's nothing. I'd rather have the 16th pick and the Clippers pick over four late 1st round picks from the Knicks.

Anunoby/Hart
Randle/Anunoby
Hartenstein/Vet

But they’ll be out on Paul George obviously.

No way, Hart was Thibs favorite guy. I feel pretty good about Anunoby being available. The only question is for how much?

Hart is still on the roster. Unless you’re benching Randle for him.

Financially they can easily make this work still. Mikal isn’t due for an extension for 2 years.

It’s an all in type move where they probably wont have much flexibility afterwards. So they can’t afford to lose OG now for nothing. I imagine they’ll spend whatever to keep him.

Sixers 2024 Offseason incoming

Mitch Richmond
Theo Ratliff
Clyde Drexler
Shawn Kemp
Tom Chambers
Toni Kukoc
Maybe room for one or two more All Stars to fill out the roster

No one in the NBA wants to go anywhere but LA, Miami, or teams they think they can win a title. If Morey puts together a team stars think can win, players will beat down the door to come to Philly. He’s had 4 years to do it.

I agree, 4 years and this is the result is sad.

I'm saying putting Hart on the bench seems like a random demotion since he was the ultimate team player. I don't think any of these guys are going to the bench. I don't think Anunoby wants to fight for playing time with Hart and Randle, but I could be wrong.

They've always been planning to bring OG back, but now they have even more reason to. Legit title contender and whatnot.

Also remember Bridges is cheap for a couple years, $23m and $25m. So this deal allows them to give big $ to OG and a hefty chunk to Hartenstein and still stay beneath aprons.

Before Morey, we had Embiid, good Simmons, rookie Fultz, Covington, Redick, and max cap space.

LeBron James laughed us off.

Is Randle the C? If so, Embiid is hanging 60 on him.

Exactly this. Randle expires after 2 seasons, so it’s sustainable. Brunson is already talking about taking a discount to keep the core together.

Meh, Knicks were mostly bad for 20 years straight, then got their golden goose with Brunson.

What is the first location my post listed?

And where did LeBron go?

Wake me up when a free agent chooses to sign with the Magic or someone like that over the Sixers. Or a star chooses the Pelicans over the Sixers on the trade market or something.

He won't take much of a discount, but they'll figure out some way to make it work. E.g. they manage to ditch Randle's last season and that's that, or dump a few smaller deals.

Harden wanted to come here before going to the Nets, then again when the Nets fell apart.

Of course, Morey did ruin that relationship, lmao.

I think they should be fine as long as he's under $25m/year. Guess he could fetch more than that but that's getting pretty expensive.

Cuz it's an extremely high price to pay, and they'd need to know they would have a legit contending team if they pulled the trigger on it.
