His stock was at it's highest last year. Too late.

Re: Official Trade Thread: Part 3
I think he still has value to veteran teams looking for a push. If we can move him like we moved Delk and Rogers a decade ago I would do it.
Marshon Brooks and Jeremy Lamb would be good targets.

I think it's possible we could trade Dudley. Lots of players still live off reputation.

Re: Official Trade Thread: Part 3
Maybe we're saving our assets come draft time to trade up. Scola, Gortat, Dudley, five 1st rounders over 3 years... I think we can move into the top 3-5. Would probably have to be a 3 way sending our pieces to a contender with us taking on salary.

Re: Official Trade Thread: Part 3
we could for sure trade Dudley and get value, because he is worth it. He is one of the best 3's coming off the bench, but this dude is not a starter to me.

I think that it's a little early to start talking trades. Not for us of course, I'd trade anyone on the roster if it was a good deal and got us more draft picks. For the rest of the league though; I think we're going to have to wait until the trade deadline begins to loom a little closer before having a chance to move anyone.

I still suggest trading for motiejunas!
He is AMAZING and the rockets arnt using him atm.
Could be a big steal.
7 foot F/C who can do everything well.

Trade JD for Motie.
Dragic/Telfair
Brown/WJ
Tucker/Beasley
Scola/Morris
Gortat/Motie

Re: Official Trade Thread: Part 3
I think we should go hard after Millsap or J Smoove in the offseason. I doubt they rank us high on their list of destinations but they're around the age of our best players (27-28ish) and they're probably the best players that will hit free agency bar Dwight and CP3.

Jared Dudley for Motiejunas is too much. He is a good prospect, but he is totally unproven.
I would trade the Lakers pick for him.
About Millsap and Josh Smith, I think Millsap is the better choice. If we can sign him arounf 40m$ for 4 years it would be amazing. Josh Smith will be a max player, and he is not one of them.

We need a shooting guard first....if Morris doesn't cut it, then a PF, if Beasley can't ever play defense, then a SF...
Pazienza....pazienza...pazienza....and before you know it, we're celebrating in "Suns City" baby....

Re: Official Trade Thread: Part 3
I have to agree LongTime. Our core consists of a PG, a C, who we better extend. I'll include Scola, too, as he continues to defy my expectations. Dudley ..... hmmmmm...... still a value on his current deal....
I think we have to be careful on dealing any of those guys... for this team seems to lack leadership at the moment.
Are we going to go out and get someone and hand it over to them ? There is no Charles Barkley to do that with.
Come mid season, we need to look at teams who are under-acheiving with some possible disgruntled star or just wanting to cut money. Not many are in lux tax land due to the amnesty provision. I do not think anyone we have to offer will make much of a difference in a playoff bound squad, assuming we keep the 3-4 above.
Guys I'd look at ? Tayshawn Prince as mentioned. He has 2 more yrs at 7+ mill. Detroit is woeful. Prince is a solid player, unspectacular like Scola. Perhaps expiring Brown could go there.(or Duds?... honestly at this point, Brown has given us much more than Dudley and if I had to pick......
) Even better but injured is Danny Granger. He's twice the price though, and damaged goods. Our staff may fix his knee alright, but not sure about his head. He is out for a couple more months. And though costly, he doesnt tie up long term money.
Sad thing is, we have a couple of players who are not performing as expected. In 20 more games, their values to us and the league will be determined. I would part with Morris if it gave us back some good simply because I doubt there is any market for Beasley, and I feel he is better suited or destined to be back up PF. Dudley's value is more stable, even with his poor play.
There will be enough mid level talent to fill in the gaps with free agency, but I dont see the big star out there at the positions we need help in. I think I'd make a play for Granger, providing he clears the med staff.

Re: Official Trade Thread: Part 3
We would have to wait until new players can be added to a multiple player trade, before we get rid of them. Then there is the fact that those players appear to not be good (either over or under played, which makes them seem not worthy of a trade.)
I highly doubt Dallas makes that trade. They got Mayo for next to nothing, and they would be trading two starters for one inconsistent starter, and two third stringers. But heck, maybe Dallas could get something out of them because they have a real head coach.

Just say no to Stuckey.
Hill on Nash going to the Lakers: “That’s like transferring from Duke and going to Carolina.”

HELL NO to Stuckey
We want a dynamic, star potential SG not an under achieving 50 cent look alike.
Suns have great opportunity to build around a young SG stud... Not a cap killer.
