If we were to get Dwight it would need to be a three team I think. Maybe add in the sixers if they proposed that tank now trade.

This is a rough draft Ill throw out here

GSW
trades: Lee, RJ, Klay, Green, (possibly send a future pick to someone here)
gets: Howard, Thad Young

Id like to see if a Howard/Bogut twin towers would work. If not I think we could net something for Bogut. Thad can back up the 3/4 spots. Sort of leaves us with a hole at the 2 spot though.

CLEV
Trades: Thompson, Gee
Gets: Lee

If Irving is a cry baby and forces them to make a win now move. Dont know how that situation is right now though.

LAL
Trade: Howard
Get: Tristan Thompson, Klay Thompson, Evan Turner, Gee

Gives them maybe too many assets for dwight. Take that back, maybe the right amount. I dont know

76ers
Trade: Young, Turner
Get: RJ, Green

I believe they save money in this deal and go into full tank mode

WARNING: I have no clue if the salaries would even work but just putting the idea out there

I'm okay with offering Bogut + Barnes for Howard.
Then a separate deal to sweeten it of Biedrins for Nash which gives them a poor record next year (in a great draft) and little salary next off season (to go after Lebron and Bosh).

Push come to shove i'd probably throw in '14 #1 pick too, but I'm going to want protections and the Lakers won't... and they have all the leverage.

I offer Barnes + Bogut, and hope they say yes.
. I'll even give them 3 first rd picks. We won't have the money to retain them anyways

Green font = sarcasm.

I guess we were handcuffed... but I wonder if we were thinking about/willing to offer the poop that the Blazers just did for TRob.

fanofthe76 wrote:Hey guys! Sixers fan here. As you may have noticed, we have begun Operation: Tank for Wiggins. You guys obviously won't be doing anything of the sort because you're a few players away from being really special. Would you do this trade?

Sixers Get:

Richard Jefferson (10,164,000/1 year left)
Andreas Biedrins (9,000,000/1 year left)
1st round pick 2014

Warriors Get:

Evan Turner (5,293,080/1 year left)
Thad Young (8,289,130 3 years left)
Jason Richardson (5,799,625/2 years left)

We clear the cap space entirely to do our best Charlotte Bobcats impression. You guys get replacements for Jack and Landry that are in my opinion superior players at age 24/25, with the option to hold onto/ditch ET in his contract year, while simulateously taking RJ and Biedrins off the books. For the favor of handing you ET and Thad for virtually nothing, you take on J Rich for an extra year and he sits on the same part of the bench that say Brandon Rush now sits. Because your starting 5 is legit and 6-8 is now set with ET, Thad, and Draymond Green, you will presumably have a mid to high 20s pick. Presumably, you won't find a player as good as ET or Thad individually at this range most times, let alone both put together. So chip that in and we are good. Would you do it? I know Hinkie is crazy enough to try it.

+1

trust me if you want to tank, Biedrins and Jefferson can be key players in that effort.

Seems like a playstation offer. The value might be right with a 2 for 1 deal, but you'd need a Kahn type GM to at the helm for them to agree.

I am all for moving David Lee for the right pieces. I however don't think we should make a run at Dwight. I honestly don't think he is worth a Max deal. He has had lots of injury concerns over the past 2 seasons. He can't make a free throw. Plus will he really want to be second to Stephen? I also wouldn't want to give up Klay or Barnes for him in a trade. I just don't see Dwight fitting in. I agree that he is still probably the best center in the league but I think the Heat have proven you dont need a dominant center to win championships. Who was the last team to win a championship with a dominant center??? 2005-2006 Heat with Shaq! Traditional centers just are not as big of a need as they use to be.

I would like to try and get a Lamarcus Aldridge however. I think we should pursue that more. Looks like they are willing to move him. Especially trading for T-Rob.

Dream scenario would be Kevin Love but Saunders isn't letting him go unfortunately.

The Warriors need to do whatever it takes to get Howard. I think I would go as far as including both Barnes and Thompson.

As far as LMA, I think Portland wants too much for him and are gauging interest/value for him. Lee and Rush is about all I would for him. Love is going to be in the same, they will want too much for him.

Getting Howard seems like a great idea at first glance, but it will be a complete disaster. I've never been so sure of anything in my life. The man is a train wreck.

It's giving me a bad feeling too.

I've just never been sold on a core of Curry/Lee/Klay being some glorious combo, so I'm not feeling that tossing Dwight in the mix makes them one.

They had a nice influx of talent this year. Bogut, Jack. Landry, Barnes, Ezeli, Green. Potentially, all of that is gone/out of action except for Green.

Not sure adding Howard to the remainder is that special.

I've been a self-professed Barnes lover and defender, but even I think a Bogut/Barnes + expiring for Dwight would be an outstanding haul for us.

Think of it like this: It would be as if we traded Monta and Ekpe for Dwight Howard.

By moving Ellis, we were able to tank in historical fashion, enabling us to keep our pick and land Barnes at #7. That, after winning a coin flip with the Raptors to boot. We could be looking at Ross here instead of Barnes if tails comes up rather than heads.

I don't want to see Barnes go. But a pick we lucked into as a byproduct of moving Monta and Udoh = Dwight Howard... you gotta love that.

Bogut + their choice of Biedrins or Jefferson + future 2nd round pick. Their only other choice is to let Howard walk for nothing. Howard knows about it. Every team knows about it. Their advertised willingness to let him walk for nothing is just a smoke screen. I'm calling their bluff. This deal enables them to stay competitive with Bogut, and keep their wet dream of James joining them next year alive.

Funny how some morons on Lakers board want both klay&barnes, it would be funny if they end up with nothing..
