Well, in fairness, we took Mike Pence off their hands. Taking back Mahinmi is the least they can do.

Wittman put Ariza on Augustin in the 4th quarter and that was the last we heard from Augustin.

We have beaten the Bulls based on superior talent and matchup advantages, and Wittman has just now stumbled upon a huge matchup advantage that should make the rest of the series go that much better. After seeing that, nearly all of my doubts have been erased. I just don't see how Chicago can beat us. At best, they'll manage to scrap and claw their way to victory in their first elimination game, but they can't beat us 4 times.

Chicago has to burn too much energy just to keep up with the Wizards so down the stretch they have no legs under their shots. With the Wizards Defensive Player of the Year(Ariza) being able to contain Augustin like Nate says, I'm seeing a sweep.

On a side note, doesn't it feel good just to be healthy with what the Wizards been thru since Gil got injured?

During the regular season the Wizards averaged 14.6 turnovers. That is an especially bad number given how many long 2s they took. Last night they only had 12 turnovers in an OT game, only 10 the game before that. Against the number 2 defense.

During the season they struggled consistently with their late game execution. Now they have 2 straight comeback wins on the road.

Who are these guys, and what have they done with the Wizards?

Guys making fun of Barkley haven't been paying attention. I remember one year Barkley called Memphis over the Spurs and Memphis won. He went against the ESPN guys on several series and was right each time.

He picked the Wizards before the series started so obviously he is not a jinx.

Excellent point. There have been virtually no unforced turnovers in two games now.

Yes. This gets at two things: Ariza's value and the value of having big guards. Cross-matching Ariza on to Augustin not only shut Augustin down, but it did so without creating a mismatch elsewhere that the Bulls could exploit. Wall and Beal more than held their own on Hinrich and Butler.

Also Wall will be able to focus on playing better offensively when he's not chasing Augustin around.

If Ariza can just lock down Augustin for 48 min, we won't even need anything from him on offense. The rest of the guys will carry us home.

Even with our only semi-recent playoff series win, we started out 0-2.

I, for the life of me, cannot recall a time things have been this good.

Not since the first year I started watching them. They won the championship that season.

Absolutely stunning.

This is the thing I can't get over. It's like Witt has been hiding his in game coaching skills for the playoffs, as if it was a secret weapon.

The Bulls are letting Nene take all the midrange jumpers he wants. Not necessarily a bad strategy since he shot 42.6% on those shots during the season.

But in 2 games Nene has made 12 of 23 jumpers. Glad they are going in but frankly i am not comfortable with him taking that many.

Seriously, how can the refs possibly miss this? That almost makes up for all the awful calls we got all game.
