Warriors dissming the rumor, means nothing.

Every rumor coming out of Boston should be seen as complete BS until proven otherwise. Even rumors like this that benefit us.

Every good player that starts being talked about in trade rumors is a good thing for us because of the possibility for 3 team deals.

uh, if the Warriors were interested in moving Klay AND interested in Nerlens, then why wouldn't we deal with them directly and cut Ainge out completely? can't be because of cap room - we have plenty.

because Crowder and Bradley would help replace Klay (and to a lesser extent Barnes) while Noel would replace Bogut....whereas dealing with us would just replace one.

Curry Bradley, Durant/ Green and Noel would be deadly with Crowder filling in their lineup of death (with Green at the 5).

They are getting bodied in the paint and aren't as deep as they once were. This fixes that.

above point stands tho...don't believe any Ainge rumors.

What is your evidence for this claim?

Bogut finished #1, #1, #2 in DRPM the last three seasons and was the second highest paid player on the Warriors when they won the championship. He was a significant offensive negative each season. One of the best teams of all time won with a defensive big taking up a large portion of their cap.

Only because the rest of the team took discounts. Who was the one they jettisoned when they signed Durant?

Tristan Thompson was signed once they already had the other pieces in place.

Basically what I'm saying is our roster is not finished. I don't think it makes a whole lot sense to put ourselves in the same situation ORL finds themselves in. We need the cap space for elite talent.

You're backtracking. Now you're trying to add stipulations to what you said. Nice try.

There stipulations to anything.

You guys are using a bunch of abnormal situations and saying see it works. I was speaking in general terms. You shouldn't have to spend max money to find a defensive big of the Biyombo variety.

Of course Jordan, Whiteside, Gobert are other stories but that is not where Biyombo is at. That isn't where Noel is at.

If this rumor is happens we should build a statue for BC, I mean to get anything of value for Noel at this point would be a huge coup. The only thing I would be a little annoyed with is he would be playing for GS when I much rather see him banished to some **** team like the BKN with no future.

I hate for that whiny punkass to land in a better situation. But for BKN 2017 first I'll take it. The other thing I'll say about this rumor is unlike most BOS this is more then fair for GS and PHI.

We would have to find a 3rd team to send guards to GSW and we would have to give up another asset or 2 but it would be worth it. Klay would be ideal with Simmons and Joel. Offensively.

Klay is nice but we r about two years away. He holds much more value to a team like the Celtics as this rumor shows.

Doesn't matter how far away we are Klay fits with any core and will age amazingly. I would vastly overpay to put him with Simmons and Biid

http://www.espn.com/blog/nba/post/_/id/25056/wednesdays-sixers-news-nerlens-noel-out-3-5-weeks-after-having-elective-knee-surgery

so today is the "3 week mark" when a return was told to us as 3-5 weeks, correct?

Nov. 29th would be 5 weeks. Nov 30th is a home game vs Sacramento, which starts a 4 game home stand.

I'd truly be surprised if he ever played another game for us. All signs just indicate that he and the organization have a mutual interest in parting ways.

We've waited this long, may as well bring Noel along on minute restriction.

Hope Nerlens play. I really think that it would bring the best out of our guys.

I honestly think holmes goes for a guard prospect. I think we ride Nerlens and Jah all the way to the draft or Nerlens RFA

I'm not sure, but may as well mix and match for a while, see how they do in various roles.

Just think the other 2 are to valuable to sell low on, while holmes is a guy a contender (GS, Boston) could really use and get a lot cheaper. And then we at least capitalize on holmes value while he's getting minutes instead of trying to move him when he's not at all.

I'm big time Noel guy, but I think trading Holmes instead of him would be a mistake right now. Holmes has been lights out this year. Check his advanced states, they're elite. But he's not really a name. Not sure how much buzz he has around the league right now. Noel and Okafor are both lottery picks, and while they've underperformed their expectations to a degree, I still think you're more likely to snag a better return for them. We'll see how this shakes out, Holmes definitely seems to be the odd man out when everyone is healthy, but I think dumping him would be a mistake.
