Not sure what everyone is upset about. This is the most excited I've ever been as a Knicks fan. We pile up losses, send Melo to Boston for the Nets pick and we're looking at two lotto picks to pair with KP for next year. That's how you build a team... Look at the Thunder when they had their 3 studs, looks at the Wolves now, heck even Philly looks like they have some hope.

Phil signed two washed up post injury PGs, some unknown Euros and a washed up center, And you thought he didn't want to tank?
Phil is smart, he put a few "names" on this team so when it fails, blame is not directed at him and he can rebuild the right way.

I was away for 2 days and when I came back, it seemed the board had lost its collective mind, or everyone was hit by a virus that affected the brain. I know the Knicks had a horrible game, but now everybody is giving up on them and KP too? Suddenly I'm glad I wasn't around to catch whatever it is.

Phil can do what Lakers did. The whole big market cannot build is a farce. We don't have to win with Melo. Trade players that have value for picks/youth. We don't even have to preserve cap space. Trade Rose for long contracts if it will bring some youth/picks. If Melo wants out, that is fine too. We can't settle with KP. We need at least one probably two three more young players just as good.

Let's just stay with 14 on 41%. That includes one really game and one uncharacteristically bad game. And also maybe let's wait until at least 20 games have been played before arriving to any conclusions on development and stats? KP is stronger, faster and also has a much quicker release and better handles this year. Also better driving to the rim and not having the ball stripped as often.

But yeah, he's trash, he's soft and you and Greenie are real basketball gurus.

P.S. I'm not saying that his defense is good right now. Of course not. But he will adjust as he's done until now. He will work on it and also he looked good when he was playing 5. Personally, I'm not giving up on KP. Just making assessments on a game by game basis. His last 2 games were bad/terrible so that's where we are. We will see what tomorrow brings

Dolan does NOT need Melo to keep the ticket prices up. These are the Knicks. People will pay that regardless. Dolan is not hurting for bread at all. Melo does not add that much money to the Knicks tickets. Knicks was selling tickets and sellouts WITHOUT stars.

I honestly feel like even if this team were to play up to the best they could play they still wouldn't win a championship this year. Then next year Melo is a year older and Noah is a year older. Idk I just love what the Lakers, Wolves and the Celtics have done, even the Sixers with the draft. They're all building young and through the draft.

You build up with a good group of talented young players and let them grow with each other. I wished the Knicks would do that too.

This team could be Shumpert, Grant/Hardaway, Early, Porzingis, Willy, Thanasis and Baker right now.
