Phil signed two washed up post injury PGs, some unknown Euros and a washed up center, And you thought he didn't want to tank?
Phil is smart, he put a few "names" on this team so when it fails, blame is not directed at him and he can rebuild the right way.

lol at Boston giving up a Nets pick for Melo...let's be real

I'm sure they'd rather have another Jalen Brown while trying to win now

I was away for 2 days and when I came back, it seemed the board had lost its collective mind, or everyone was hit by a virus that affected the brain. I know the Knicks had a horrible game, but now everybody is giving up on them and KP too? Suddenly I'm glad I wasn't around to catch whatever it is.

Phil can do what Lakers did. The whole big market cannot build is a farce. We don't have to win with Melo. Trade players that have value for picks/youth. We don't even have to preserve cap space. Trade Rose for long contracts if it will bring some youth/picks. If Melo wants out, that is fine too. We can't settle with KP. We need at least one probably two three more young players just as good.

if u think that the star the Celtics will finally give up 1 of their Nets picks for is a declining 32 yo Melo then you're delusional

Melo probably gets u a mid 1st at best right now

Of course. It's way too early for any of this harsh criticism, but if folks want to go apes**t, it's needs to be spread evenly and fairly. When it hits the fan, nobody stays clean. Ya hear that Ron Baker!

You are one of the few that understands my mess. LOL

KP is soft, weak and passive. Get rid of Melo too. I don't want either one.

Towns>>>>>>>

KP ain't that dude.

LOL and Cousins whom you want to trade KP for isn't soft? He's a primadonna whining about everything all the time.

And by the way Melo should learn a thing or two from Harden, Lebron and other greats who not only score themselves, but also get 10+ assists on a regular basis. They make other players around them better as much as I don't like both of them because of their egos.

Melo ain't LeBron just like KP is not Towns. Keep that up and I'll keep up the KP bashing because he's at fault too. AS IN ADDITION TO!

Come now. That's not really analysis, that's stomping your feet.

KP is 21. Melo is supposed to be doing all he can to help the team as the leader -- he means well but he should know by now that forcing the issue doesn't work.

Melo is still playing the best ballon this team. Half the whining about KP not taking shots his ass has yet to earn is called stomping feet.

Yeah he's at 14 on 41% now and it's skewed because of the 7/11 game.

Outside of that game he's averaging 12 on 34% shooting

That's atrocious

Yes. Or maybe last night's game skewed it? Way to go with selective stats after only 4 games. You basically ignored 25% of the games. :D You and Greenie really should do less trolling.

Let's just stay with 14 on 41%. That includes one really game and one uncharacteristically bad game. And also maybe let's wait until at least 20 games have been played before arriving to any conclusions on development and stats? KP is stronger, faster and also has a much quicker release and better handles this year. Also better driving to the rim and not having the ball stripped as often.

But yeah, he's trash, he's soft and you and Greenie are real basketball gurus. :banghead:

P.S. I'm not saying that his defense is good right now. Of course not. But he will adjust as he's done until now. He will work on it and also he looked good when he was playing 5. People who say that he will be destroyed when playing as a 5 don't remember him shutting down Boogie last year while playing center.

Jeez. Let me help you understand my angle. You can insert any player into your rant and it will apply. But it's always Melo. Last time I checked this was a team game. We can go up and down this roster and point out sh*tty performances from everyone.

Get it?

Personally, I'm not giving up on KP. Just making assessments on a game by game basis. His last 2 games were bad/terrible so that's where we are. We will see what tomorrow brings

And still losing. Melo is simply a player.

Then next year Melo is a year older and Noah is a year older. Idk I just love what the Lakers, Wolves and the Celtics have done, even the Sixers with the draft. They're all building young and through the draft.

You build up with a good group of talented young players and let them grow with each other. I wished the Knicks would do that too.

This team could be Shumpert, Grant/Hardaway, Early, Porzingis, Willy, Thanasis and Baker right now.

Very good young core

Yuck
