But we cannot select Frank if were trading up, it depends who Orlando picks, cause they will likely take one player we covet.

Then it depends who Minny would pick, they seem to be interested in a PF/C... and if they take a player like that..we will have one of our top options left at 9, whoever that is.

7 is necessary because even if Isaac is gone, you are guaranteed Smith. Both of those guys are a tier above Ntilikina and Monk in my opinion

I agree, and Smith is my ideal pick.

But who will the Wolves choose out of these guys? Would seem to be Monk if any of those 3, they also seem linked to a big man.

So either way we will be left with a PG we covet...

How much do we give up to guarantee Smith or whoever we want? if they are available at 7..

By all accounts, they would pick Collins 9th and (presumably) Ntilikina or Monk then slips to 10th at Sacramento, or further.

This! In an ideal world, Dallas needs to hope that Orl takes Issac, cause if they don't, Minny will. Then see if Minny will do a #7/Matthews for #9/Aldrich if they really are high on either Collins or Markannan who will both be there. Of course Dal needs to draft DSJ then and not even look Frank's way.

Looks like Dallas is having conversations with Portland.

My concern is what if Minny keeps 7th pick, and takes a big man anyway/someone we don't want.

Therefore making a deal with them will prove to be a bad move most likely, if indeed the Knicks take Frank like most reports say.

If they keep the 7th and take a big man then they just keep the pick and we don't have to trade for it. All I really want to see happen is getting rid of Wes and/or getting DSJ

Apparently Boston is in talks to acquire #7. Dallas is going to blow it tonight. Don't be surprised, Mavs fans

Getting DSJ being the highlite. Wes can go but I sure don't want to take much back, Rubio would be a fair swap, and be a winning trade for us, sadly doesn't seem likely.

If we blow this trade opportunity, this front office might as well save some time and just hire Phil Jackson. They've ran this team into the ground in the span of 5 years and it is really frustrating

Starting to think DSJ probably won't even be on the board at 9, sucks

He won't be. Ainge has had his eye on Dennis Smith for a while now. If Smith isn't there at 9 they should trade the pick.

I am not saying "it's right", but it's something we need to keep on the back of our minds, because it's all this love stuff for Mattews is beyond any reasonable comprehension. It's almost embarrassing at times.

One thing is... the Mavs probably aren't looking to 'tank', so they probably wouldn't entertain the idea of dumping his salary to gain cap space. They probably wouldn't make a tarde to get a bad contract attached to a pick.

Now if some tangible evidence shows up that the Mavs refused to deal him in favourable deals, then well... it'll be truly sickening.

Cuban is doing a PR-thing about the new locker room. Seth is apparently doing some type of fan event right now.

I don't expect much to happen trade-wise tbh.

Mike Fisher tweets way too much. Makes it hard to take him very seriously. It often also feels he is just writing stuff to keep the hits coming.

With that said, it's sickening to read these constant things about a player that doesn't really fit with what the Mavs should be doing.
