Exactly what I've been saying the last 2 weeks...Ray committed to the Heat already unless something drastic happens with the Clippers (offering his salary from last year and a starting job). Ainge and Doc saved face by saying they expect Ray back so they could close Jason Terry at the MLE and keep some sort of leverage. Ray is going to sign on Thursday most likely when he visits Riley. I'm sure Riles has already given him "the presentation" with his bag of rings and he's already fallen in line and understands his role with The Heat. Ray will come off the bench and provide instant offense for the Heat this year and help limit Wade's minutes. I'm excited about Ray coming here, all we need is a Center and this will be a happy off season for me. This confirms to me that Ray Allen has already told the Heat that he will be the 6th man this year.

Sadly Terry makes the Celtics a playoff team again, but a weak one that will get steamrolled in the 1st round, maybe 2nd if the chips fall right. That team is older than dirt!

Sign Allen for the mini-MLE and Camby for Miller's disabled player exception (if we can get it) for a $2.9M, 1 year deal (half of Miller's salary is what the disabled player exception would be for, and you can only sign the player for 1 year).

Watchout ws dead wrong about Dalembert but has a good rep here generally and was correct about the big 3 so.... not sure if serious

Watchout was wrong about Dalembert last year, but he's usually right.

There is no source out there that has never been wrong before. He's legit. I've been reading these boards (and posting, lol) since draft night 2003.

He absolutely nailed the summer of 2010. Even the Beasley trade and the Miller signing.

Ray doesn't like Rondo, he felt betrayed by the Celtics when they tried to discard him for OJ Mayo, connect the dots. It wasn't a difficult decision to join the Heat if you think about it.

I just went back on Google to look up some old threads from before I joined. His track record is good, I'm convinced.

What's the deal with JO? I know most of you don't like him, but if we land Ray and lose out on Camby and all other centers, I mean, he's a body if anything. Can still defend the post and block shots.

Ray Allen doesn't seem like the type of guy that would fly to Miami then all the way across the country to LA knowing he was going to for sure sign with the Heat. I wouldn't get too excited about this source.

That was his plan before the Celtics signed Terry in order to possible drive the price up a little......now they signed Terry.....Ray Ray will never make that trip to LA

From what I remember, Watchout was usually wrong about things.. I think he guesses what he hears from rumors but isn't an actual source, nor has one.

There's a pretty good chance that LAC gives their mid level to Jamal Crawford before Friday.
