Afflalo, Vucevic, Harkless 3 1sts > Lopez, Marshon, humphries 4 1sts imo

Rudolph has a personal vendetta against the Magic. He is literally Dwight's mouthpiece

Seems like way too much smoke for there not to be a fire this time. Just hoping the return is somehow more than is being reported.

How in the world would that be better? The draft picks sure as hell wouldn't be better as the Nets would be up there with Miami and L.A. as the elite teams. All we'd be doing with the Nets deal is force ourselves to build around Brook Lopez... No way in hell is the Nets deal better.

Brook Lopez vs. Clean slate & flexibility. The rest is AT WORST equal, but in my opinion the current deal is better.

flip lopez and humphries to Rockets for Dmo and martin 8-)

Maybe this has all been a sinister Laker plot...they manage to turn Bynum, Eyenga, and a 2017 protected 1st into Lopez (creaky Bynum's replacement), Brooks (Kobe's heir), and 4 unprotected 1sts.

even if he was to do something nuts like that. sign and trades for tax paying teams are banned next year. so he would have to take the MLE there. there is no choice

Sam Amick
On the Orlando part of the Dwight-Howard-to-the-Lakers deal: I get that fans have an easier time getting excited about trades where stars are swapped for stars, but it's tough to assess the Magic's haul until we see what they do with the draft picks that are a huge part of their loot (three first rounders in all and likely some second-rounders too). New GM Rob Hennigan sold himself on rebuilding the Magic through the draft when he won the job in late June, and now he has the chance to follow the Oklahoma City model that he played a part in forming. On the money front, where financial flexibility was a major goal for Orlando as well, Arron Afflalo (coming from Denver) is a quality addition (four years, $30.4 million on his deal) who they'll pay because they like him and veteran forward Al Harrington isn't nearly as expensive as he would appear. (three years, $21.4 million remaining). Only 50 percent of the final two years of his deal are protected, meaning the Magic are only on the hook for $7.3 million after next season if they waive him. Otherwise, getting rookie swingman Moe Harkless and second-year center Nikola Vucevic would qualify as quality young assets with efficient contracts. All in all, there will be a huge wait-and-see factor when it comes to judging the Magic.

What is Rob gonna say in the presser?

Next year could potentially be more disastrous than the years after TMAC, prior to Dwight's era.

Been a fan since inaugural year. Will be a fan going forward. It just sucks right now.

I really wonder what the full trade will look like. I'd assume more pieces will come into play.

Yes actually. Throw in "player development" in there too. This is actually going to be something very similar to what he says.
