Hayward can play PF and is versatile with lineups, he and Bey can play together. The rumor is that Detroit is interested in Hayward, not Rozier.
Say they take Hayward and 13 for nothing. We can waive and stretch Oubre, offload Plumlee to OKC with either Bouk, Thor, or McDaniels for cap space, then offer two max deals for both Bridges and Ayton, all the while retaining Terry, Martin, PJ, the 15, and still be under the tax. We would then need a lot of production from whoever retain out of Thor/Bouk/McDaniels, Kai, the 15, and hope that we can get vet mins like IT
The problem is I don't know if a LaMelo/Miles/Ayton core is top 6 in the east, we'd be locked in to that, and we are betting a lot on Ayton and his improvement. He'll already be 24 by opening day next year. On paper the starting 5 would be great - LaMelo, Terry, Miles, PJ, Ayton....with Martin, Kai, and 15 on the bench but we'd be awfully thin
The other 2nd max contract option is Lavine, but I think the Bulls match (is he restricted?)
