Yep.. this team is clearly still only like the 9th or 10th seed in the east at best talent wise.. barring outlier/break out seasons from a few guys

the term treadmill is so over used everyone wants to jump from Cellar to Contender in a year while trading none of the young assets or picks

That’s not how it works. A treadmill team is a team that is not a legit contender (Bucks,76ers, Warriors, Suns, Celtics, and Heat) but have a lot of unmovable salaries so they can’t tank and get decent odds in the lottery. It’s when you have a lot of money on the books, and no way to improve, because the picks are not desirable.

The Kings are trying to become a treadmill team while teams like the Hawks and the Wolves are trying to trade their way out of that existence.

By definition, a treadmill team is always in motion but not going anywhere.

That is a pretty accurate description of the 2000's Knicks.

Dude, read the quote trail and see that your post trying to explain to me was a waste of time...

If we can take all our young guys and all our picks for the next 5-6 years and flip them for Spida and Jalen Brown... that could be something.

Brunson, Spida, Brown, Randle, Mitch/Hart w/ g-leaguers rounding out the bench...

Our young players are not valuable enough to get even one of those guys unless we're talking RJ.

RJ, Obi, IQ, Cam, Grimes, Sims, McBride plus all the picks for the next 5-7 years. That's enough for Spida and Green... If those guys are even available.
