Re: NBA General Discussion: 24-25
Hilarious that the Knicks found this Bench lineup because Brunson and KAT were in foul trouble in Game 3.
At this point the best thing Thibs could do is stagger Brunson and KAT, but he is not gonna do it so i still think the Pacers win the series lol

Its not Jimmy, it's not Tatum, it's not Shai, it's not Mikal.
TJ was the star that got away.

Thibs is an idiot, i would not be surprised if he revert back to his 7 man rotation after this game

Re: NBA General Discussion: 24-25
I remember saying after the Knicks let Hartenstein walk that they would live to regret that decision. Then after the Bridges trade that they had capped themselves as a potentially very good team that still wasn't championship level and had little maneuverability moving forward.
Last year they had an identity as a gritty defensive oriented group that dominated the offensive boards, a team no one wanted to play whose primary weakness was being too thin and reliant on one player for offense. Here they are a year later and they are still thin and still too reliant on one player despite adding offensive talent, but completely bereft of an identity. The defensive fearsomeness is gone, and Thibs is searching for answers in the middle of the 2nd playoff round.
Hartenstein's defense, rebounding, passing out of the high post, and that little floater were such a huge part of what they were last year that they just couldn't replace with all those moves. I was happy to see him go, but the Knicks should have found a way to keep him.

I remember saying that the KAT trade was a decisive win for the T'Wolves and being told I was out of my mind because Julius Randle is trash. Not that Julius Randle is saving the T'Wolves right now, but the Knicks also gave up a first and Donte DiVincenzo for a wet noodle version of KAT.

Randle is still borderline trash, and the Wolves would be very smart not to let his mini-revival in the playoffs fool them into making the same mistake the Knicks made. Thank him for his effort and send him on his way. They need to keep Naz and refine this group around Edwards.
Unloading Towns had to be done, DiVincenzo and the 1st were nice rewards, and at least they got some decent play out of Randle. Time to move on.

I'm not particularly fond of Randle's game, but they could possibly be going to the Finals if Ant Edwards lived up to his superstar title and didn't shoot them out of most of these OKC games.

I don't disagree on Edwards, but I don't think they were beating this OKC team regardless. SGA>>>>Ant, and they have too much depth, versatility, and defense for the Wolves.
Do you see Edwards reaching the Jokic/SGA level as an MVP type player, because I'm having trouble picturing it unless he really matures and refines his game over the next 2-3 years.

He has the talent for it but this is the intangible part of the game where he needs to have that Jordan vs Pistons epiphany that he needed to add 30lbs of muscle to win that series in the playoffs. Not sure what Edwards needs, but he needs to figure it out because he looks like he’s going through the motions in the WCF and that’s inexcusable.

Agree. Maybe he has that epiphany, but he doesn't strike me as that type of competitor like Jordan who will self diagnose his own weaknesses or shortcomings the way Jordan did with his defense and free throw shooting. We shall see.

Knicks Bridges trade didnt age well, 5 picks for him is a massive overpay. He´s a mid roleplayer...

4 picks are unprotected too....
I get they made those trades without giving up a player while already kinda being a contender that's important. I just never thought Bridges is either the playmaker or shooter to warrant that overpay. With that being said. I have followed the Knicks closely before. And I know they have new leadership, but Dolan would do anything to compete and not just be a draft thing rebuilding team by 2031.
