That Portland first could end up being a pretty good pick. I'd give them Coby alone for what you mention, not sure if it works salary wise. Coby and a first is too much.

You're probably right but what is "complimentary to dame." I think Portland is in a no-man's land. Not sure they will get a better player for the #7 pick.

It looks like they are shopping White+18 as a separate item to Vuc. So who are guys we could get with that package? Given that it would have to happen on draft night after the pick...how do the pick $ work for matching? Is it different than just trading the pick?

Some ideas in terms of Coby + 18:

Moving up in draft - maybe as high as 12 to OKC

Kuzma

Avdija

Others?

Kuzma doesn't move the needle. We need a legit 2 way player at C, a PF and a wing.

Monte Morris on the block? https://hoopshype.com/rumor/monte-morris-on-the-block/ via @hoopshype

Bulls rumored to be interested in Morris. Makes sense given the injury history of Ball and AK's connection with the Nuggets. Nuggets hae two picks in the 1st round - #21 and #30. Seems like a good opportunity for a deal.

Bulls trade Coby and #18. Nuggets trade Monte Morris and #30. I think getting Morris would be a steal for the Bulls and the exact type of Lonzo insurance we need.

Christian Wood is getting traded to Dallas. Some people here wanted him, never thought he fit in well here.

Would love Avdija for Coby and 18, and I disliked him coming into the league. But he’s going to be a good defender for a long time, and has a good feel offensively. Just has to get better at putting the ball in the hole.

I think the Wizards would have no interest in that offer though.

Dallas landed Christian Wood for essentially nothing. Oh well.

Christian Wood for basically nothing is disappointing since we could have used him.

But I guess the positive spin is that we must have something better in the works ... ?

I definitely wouldn't give up the pick and I'm not sure if I'd give up Coby for him. Micic is 28 years old and doesn't fit OKC's timeline at the moment. I don't imagine they'd have a ton of offers for him.

I know Bazley is in the deal too, but I'm not sure what to think of him. I guess I haven't watched him enough.

That just seems to be setting yourself up for disappointment.

I expect (imo) that we'll make at move at the draft but it'll be something small like a trade back or acquire Micič or Morris.

Christian Wood will have a huge season playing with Luka. Great trade by Dallas.

I wouldn’t have even trade Coby for that guy let alone a 1st. He has not proven he can play in the NBA at all.

I think the Bulls want defense from the C position. That ain’t Woods.

Atlanta has more assets for a trade. They're also a cleaner fit for Gobert. I don't think we can trump a serious offer by them.

Not sure how you beat Capela/Collins/16 unless the bulls add PWill to Vuc/18, and even then it might not be enough if Atl adds more.

With that said, I'm not sure there's 1 player that complements Trae Young better than Rudy Gobert. Gobert instantly turns ATLs biggest weakness of paint defense to a strength while Trae now gets a pretty damn good lob threat in middle.

According to the OKC board, they believe he’s valued at an early 2nd round pick, after being the best Euro player for 2 consecutive years.

They’re hoping to package Micic & #34 for a late 1st.
