Lekavicius really hurt them on defense today, but overall, coaching is ok, its just that none of our guards cant play pick and roll it seems. Jonas always been a god tier pick and roll center at FIBA level, when we look back how he used to score next to Jasikevicius or even Kalnietis, to today, basically every single stat today, he created himself. Guards can pass ball around like hot potato, but they can't pass it inside.

P.S. Nice to see you edited your signature, that lineup seems far better than what you had before

Refs forgot to award Lithuania a free throw when a technical was called lmao. Window system with third tier players on national teams and during the actual tournaments garbage refs cause of the beef with EuroLeague.

Amazing threes by Lo to close the game.

So many people who attain the heights of power in this culture—celebrities, for instance—have to make a show of false humility and modesty, as if they got as far as they did by accident and not by ego or ambition.

Big win for Belgium against Spain. Although I don't consider Belgium a basketball nation, I definitely noticed them playing big roles int the FIBA 3on3 tournaments. Maybe they can make some noise in 5 on 5 basketball in a couple of years too.

I chuckled when I saw that FIBA has Rudy Fernandez listed as Rodolfo Fernandez.

I'm watching Slovenia vs. Bosnia right now and this is the first time I've seen Nurkic in months and he looks well over 300 lbs. I've never seen him that big before.

Luka is struggling shooting.

if you are talking about keeping JV on bench at the end, he asked to be subbed out

To be fair, Cancar plays for the Nuggets where he is like the 10th option or something. Jamal Murray is coming back so he will be even less of a "factor" for them. Prepelic looks great alongside Doncic and Dragic cause the defense can't focus on him at all. On that Valencia team there is no way he could perform that well.

Same goes for Tobey who is simply an ideal roll man that can make open threes as well. He doesn't even have to be athletic to catch Luka's passes. Can't expect that same production from him without Luka. That said, it's impressive how the Slovenian players can all just turn it on in these games. Reminds me of how Spain has that dynamic where every guy understands his role perfectly.

Yep, and this was kind of a must win for them too.

I understand the reasons, I am just saying, it is amazing what quality Slovenia gets from such relatively obscure players, the fit is really insane. It is Luka effect, especially with Tobey, he makes Tobey look like hes NBA starter.

Tobey is an amazing fit next to Luka. He is probably a better fit next to him than most others bigs that Luka has played with in the NBA.

That is a truly outstanding result. Group A is on fire now with 3 teams at 2-1. If Georgia beats Turkey tonight then the group will have 4 teams all at 2-1.

Slovenian players are embarrassing themselves with their defense and poor rebounding tonight.

 at Spain trying to choose a matchup.

As far as I'm concerned, reaching the best of 16 round and losing by less than 15 to whichever rival we face will be a success for us.

Still rooting because they're showing heart.

Never have I seen Luka so shook, monstars drained his talent there in the 4th quarter, he was awful. Also Prepelic is terrible defender, Roberson made him look like complete amateur.

Well, Lithuania out after group stage?

So, Bosnia made sure that group B is on fire as well. Huge, huge win over Slovenia. Bosnia has a 2-1 record now and the only unbeaten team in group B is Germany at 3-0. Lithuania is currently winless at 0-3.

Lithuania can still advance if they beat Hungary and Bosnia (and if, of course, Bosnia also loses to France) but the first tiebreaker criteria is points and not head-to-head results which means that things are going to be a bit convoluted. If Bosnia beats either France or Lithuania, though, they are 100% in.
