Instead of getting Paul, let’s put our hands on Adams. thank you.
He’s like a stronger version of Zeller.

Jesus Christ. Rozier is our starting PG, not a SG and not a backup. He makes 19 million. We like him. We are not taking on a top 5 worst contract to make him a backup. OKC took him on because they had a top 5 worst contract to dump and a player who wanted out. But we're sending out Monk and expirings. We should throw in a blow job, no?

They're likely commenting on the Westbrook-Paul trade and refrained from speculating which side got the better deal. Those aren't exactly Earth-shattering comments. Plenty of things happen in the NBA that have nothing to do with the Hornets, especially since Cho dumped his Pu pu platter on the city and no GM wants to whiff it.

We got excited there for a second about the fit of Marvin on the Spurs. The Spurs. They're not taking that junk. They added Lyles instead. Not even as an expiring does our supposed easiest contract to move attract interest.

The Hornets have to add talent for the sake of the franchise.

Rozier is an OK NBA player. Acquiring him was born out of necessity.

Statistically, Chris Paul’s career basement year is Rozier’s career ceiling year.

Paul and Rozier together can match what Kemba and Parker provided.

Pauls contract is horrible, and despite being dumped he is still in the ring chasing part of his career. He wouldn't come here.

Kemba’s existential crisis was different, he’d been loyal to the Hornets.

Paul’s been chasing mirages.
The lights of LA. Gold in Houston.

In his crisis, he’s asking himself - what’s real

The reality is no 2019 playoff contender can afford him.

The reality is that at 34 he needs to be part of point guard by committee.

The Hornets are as good any other competitive opportunity his contract will allow.

In a place he knows is real. Home.

New lineup

Rozier - Graham
Monk - Bacon
Hardaway Jr. - Batum
Miles - PJ
Adams - Cody

Hardaway Jr. is capable of 23-24 PPG
Rozier is capable of 15
Monk is capable of 15

That's more scoring from the top 3 than we had last season. Plus the center position is stronger, anchoring the defense on both units.

I would be down for this....I would start Bacon and bring Monk off the bench, but the rest is good

2020 free agent class is weak, the 2021 free agent class is strong. We would have Batum, Cody, THJ, and Adams all expiring creating a TON of cap space for 2021.

I'm worried that Chris Paul's preferred destination is Charlotte. He and MJ are close and NC is his home. If it happens I fervently hope that he'd come here under the knowledge that the team is rebuilding and won't make moves to sacrifice long-term success for a few extra wins in the near term.

Love this trade for the hornets gets rid of three expiring contracts and gets us a legitimate center and an accomplished shooter!

Why would they?

They want the ball in Doncic's hands, not out of it. Adding Paul would take the ball away from Doncic.

It's a terrible, terrible trade idea for the Mavs.

I think Miami with butler is Paul’s best option. They can try and out alpha each other, it will be delightful to watch

Or stick him in Philly. That would be kinda fun as well.

Paul, Simmons, Harris, Embiid all wanting the ball.

It's been bloody torture for me. Those contracts were signed with me kicking and screaming after Kemba had been bludgeoned by the board on a nightly basis. Cho cooked up uranium cakes in his Pu pu platter. Dwight the tranny whisperer was so radioactive Kupchak's only taker forced an extra year of Mozgov on us. And I guarantee Mitch shopped around Dwight everywhere. Cho built this team like a paper lantern dropped into the Mississippi. Ever watched that river rush by your feet? You clearly see death at your toes. Kupchak tried to bring in Tony Parker to inspire Batombstone. He nearly died trying I'm sure. What a hunk of junk. And now Kemba is gone, the final episode of Cho's Kitchen.
I feel like you're letting either Kupchack or Jordon off the hook with Dwight. The Nets bought him out shortly after he was traded there and he gave back almost $5M.

The Howard move was almost certainly to be able to sign Tony Parker because they thought they would make the playoffs. And they would have, if not for injuries and bad luck again (finished 1 game out with 7 losses by buzzer beaters/GW shots in the last 10 seconds, if just a few of those go the other way they are in)

I'm not sure that eating $18M in additional salary for the following year in order to sign 85 year old Tony Parker make the move better. I like the Hornets. But, I'm not sold on Kupchak.

Paul, when healthy, is still a really good player. Jason Kidd helped Dallas win a title and he was traded there at the same age as Paul while being not as good.

It's not like Doncic can run every possession anyway.

4 way trade between Charlotte, Minnesota, Oklahoma City, and Miami:

CHA out MKG and Williams
CHA in Wiggins and MIN unprotected 2020 1st

MIN out Wiggins, Teague, 2020 1st
MIN in MKG, Schroder, and Gallinari

OKC out Paul, Schroder, Gallinari, MIA 2021 1st
OKC in Johnson, Waiters, Dragic, Leonard

MIA out Dragic, Johnson, Waiters, and Leonard
MIA in Paul, Teague, Williams, and own 2021 1st

Charlotte takes on Wiggins for a likely lottery pick and the small hope that they can turn his career around.

Minnesota gets cap flexibility and improves their team while not giving up much.

OKC saves a massive ton of money while only giving up what will likely be a middling pick.

Miami cleans out the clutter and gets their 2021 pick back for taking on Chris Paul.
