Morey said the opposite. He said last year he was too focused on vets who could help in the playoffs, and he was shifting to getting youth and athleticism to help during the regular season.

I feel kinda sorry for our future pick - if it is anyone other than Flagg, Nurse is going to make him earn minutes playing with the bench mob with Gordon and Drummond who will barely be able to walk.

But Morey did say in that recent interview where Mikey Miss grilled him that he has learned his lesson and that now we have ''young, under 25 guys to get us trough the regular season'', he specifically mentioned Bona, Edwards and Grimes.

I think Giannis ends up in San Antonio, but I wouldn't be shocked if we end up in the rumors.

That means the Spurs would be stealing another top pick here tonight. Otherwise I don't think they have the ammo to get it done. I know Castle was ROY, but I just don't see him as anything special, and he would have to be the centerpiece.

Babbling heads are already considering the Sixers trading Flagg for Giannis, which is insane.

If Morey traded Flagg, which he never would, he would need 24-hr. police protection.

The only trade out of #3-6 that would be acceptable to me is for multiple 1st's in this draft or a combo of picks in this draft and future 1st's. I want to begin stockpiling assets, and not for Morey to squander to make the playoffs in '25-'26.

How do we not have any 1st rounders in 2026 and 2027? Isn’t there a rule against trading away 1st round picks in consecutive years?

From what I understand, 2026 goes to OKC, and either 2027 or 2028 goes to the Nets. So does that mean if we end up conveying our 2026 pick to OKC, then the pick to Brooklyn gets pushed to 2028 (top 8 protected), allowing us to keep our 2027 pick? That would make more sense and keep us compliant with the Stepien Rule.
